He is known for playing the hardman in action movies, but Vin Diesel is now making a name for himself in the music world.

The Fast and Furious star, 56, is the surprise guest vocal on Dimitri Vegas and Zion's new dance track 'Don't Stop The Music'

DJ and producer Dimitri said he was desperate to get the Hollywood star involved as he knew he would bring something special to it.

Dimitri also felt the track could be the start of a new career for Vin -  whose voice is easily recognisable as the track begins.

'I was super happy when Vin confirmed to be on the track, I knew his voice would really make this even more powerful,' said Dimitri - who is part of Belgian duo Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike.

'Vin is an incredible actor and massive force on the screen, I'm sure he's going to have the same success in music as he has in the film world.'

The Pacifier star isn't the first celebrity to team up with Dimitri, as he has previously worked with Paris Hilton to make her song 'Best Friend's Ass'.

Meanwhile, Nicole Scherzinger joined him at his Ibiza residency at Ushuaia a couple of years ago to perform their hit 'The Drop', which also featured David Guetta.

The news of Vin's career pivot comes after Paul Walter Hauser expresed regret for making 'mean-spirited' comments about the star.

The Black Bird actor, 37, took to Instagram earlier this month to express his regret and said he was 'genuinely sorry' after what he said about the Fast & Furious star went viral.

'I no longer feel that way,' he said in a lengthy apology letter in a caption accompanied by a photo showing Bible verse 1 Thessalonians 4:11, which read: 'Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life.'

Paul accused the actor of being unprofessional on set despite having never worked with him.

He also clarified in his apology letter than he never even met Vin when he made the claims about him 'mistreating' people on set and being late.

His initial comments went viral after he said he did not want to be compared to Vin while speaking to CinemaBlend during a press junket on June 14 for his latest film Inside Out 2.

When the interviewer compared his voice acting performance to Vin's in Guardian of the Galaxy, Paul retorted, 'Please don't say that.'

With a chuckle, he continued: 'I like to think I'm on time and approachable.

'Sorry, I love people, but when I hear stories about Hollywood actors who get paid really well and mistreat people, I out them constantly. And it's a blast.'

Paul has since taken back the comments, as he explained that he was 'exhausted' when he said what he said, adding that he 'no longer [feels] that way'.

He said that it can be 'momentarily satiating' to call out people for their misbehavior but contended that he should not have made the comments 'even if some of those things turned out to be true.'

'Just here to say that I am sorry for having made that comment,' he said. 'I do indeed get riled up by some of the behavior I've witnessed, or heard about, and "outing" people to any extent can feel momentarily satiating,' he explained.

'I no longer feel that way and am genuinely sorry for shooting my mouth off and not showing love to Vin, who I do not know and have never met,' he said.
