Kylie Minogue has lifted the lid on her time on Neighbours.
The singer and actress saw her career take off while playing mechanic Charlene Robinson between 1986 and 1988.
Despite being handy with cars on the show, in real life the 56-year-old has no such skills.
'I think I nearly blew my car up,' she told Nova 96.9's Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie on Tuesday.
'My dad was mortified, and I was playing a mechanic [on Neighbours]. I forgot about gas and water then I got home, and my Datsun had smoke coming out everywhere.'
Kylie said that she took her old bomb on a few road trips between filming the show.
'I probably took it to Lorne, but mostly I was fanging it to the Neighbours set at 6.30 in the morning to Ramsay Street with my script rolling around on the passenger seat and learning it on the way!' she said.
When asked if she had any memories of kissing her on-screen love interest - and former real life boyfriend - Jason Donovan in the car, Kylie was coy.

'I wouldn't reveal such a thing... Well maybe I did!' she joked.
Donovan has admitted that his romance with Kylie was 'full on' and that the pop princess was his first real relationship.
The pair, who met as teenagers while starring on soap opera Neighbours, split in 1989.
The pair returned for the soap's finale in 2022, revisiting their characters Charlene and Scott Robinson.
Neighbours returned on a new platform, Amazon Freevee in September 2023.

Meanwhile, Kylie has sent fans wild by accidentally confirming an upcoming Australian tour in a surprise radio announcement.
The pop superstar last toured Down Under on her Golden tour back in March 2019, and is now lining up another string of concerts in the country.
She let the news slip during an appearance on The Fox's Fifi, Fev & Nick on Monday, where she was quizzed about rumours of an Aussie tour.
After initially hesitating, Kylie confirmed she will be returning to the country for her first Australian tour in more than five years.
'I wouldn't reveal such a thing... Well maybe I did!' she joked
When Brendan Fevola asked her the burning question, Kylie uncertainly replied: 'Uh… I want to say yes. Yes. The answer is yes! We're just locking down details.'
'Maybe I wasn't meant to say that, but yes,' she added, while remaining coy on the dates for the upcoming tour.
The hitmaker went on to say her 'dream' is to sell out the iconic 100,000 capacity Melbourne Cricket Ground during her next tour.
'That's another dream. One day that would be incredible, for sure,' she gushed, with Fev assuring her that she would 'for sure' be able to sell out the venue.
'Well, if you invite all your friends! You guys are pretty popular,' Kylie quipped in response.
Rumours began to circulate earlier this year about Kylie planning an Australia tour after her Splendour In The Grass headlining gig was cancelled.
