Model and rapper Amber Rose's Republican National Convention speech Monday night was called 'classy' by some factions of Donald Trump's MAGA base - while some conservatives held a very different view.
Rose, the ex-girlfriend of Kanye West and ex-wife of Wiz Khalifa, told the Milwaukee convention crowd that voting for Trump is 'the best chance we have to give our babies a better life.'
Online, X user Saras76 said Rose gave a 'classy and heartfelt speech,' while Pensive Politics podcast host Christian Watson praised the Republican National Committee for inviting her.
'The RNC should continue embracing people like Amber Rose. You cannot preach conservatism to an audience that already agrees with you,' Watson posted to X. 'You cannot model virtue before a crowd of saints. And most importantly, you cannot judge someone for being a human when you are no better.'
However, conservative podcaster Matt Walsh thought booking Rose was egregious.
'Trump has just reached mythic status by defying death and surviving an assassination attempt and the GOP decides that the best next move is to have him sit and listen to a porn star talk about diversity. Brilliant move. Thanks guys,' Walsh posted to X.

Conservative podcaster Matt Walsh had a very different view on Rose's appearance, inaccurately calling her a 'porn star' and pushing that Trump doesn't need the help
Walsh doubled down on that sentiment as X users argued that Rose's appearance at the RNC was to help the GOP attract new voters
Rose was a former stripper, not an adult actress, and rose to fame due to her relationship with West, whose also been in Trump's orbit, though whose anti-Semitic comments and associations with white supremacists have largely outcast him from Hollywood.
She previously said she'd move to Canada if Trump got elected in 2016 and was one of the founders of SlutWalk, which encouraged women to dress like 'sluts' to shed light on gender discrimination after a police officer had pushed that women could protect themselves from being sexually assaulted if they covered themselves up.
Walsh argued that Rose was too new to the conservative movement to deserve a primetime speaking slot at the convention.
'The RNC gives a primetime speaking slot to a pro-abortion feminist and self-proclaimed slut with a face tattoo whose only claim to fame is having sex with rappers,' Walsh continued. 'Truly an embarrassment.'
When another X user pointed out that Rose was picked to help Republicans gobble up more voters, Walsh suggested Trump didn't need the help.
'Right. Donald Trump just survived an assassination attempt as he runs against a senile vegetable whose own party has abandoned him but the thing that will really put this election over the top is ... Amber Rose,' Walsh wrote Tuesday morning. 'Brilliant! Republican political genius on full display again.'
Rose was one of the few speakers Trump witnessed in person Monday, as he made a surprise appearance at the convention a little after 9 p.m.
With a bandage covering his ear, Trump grinned through Rose's five minute-long appearance.
'I realized Donald Trump and his supporters don't care if you're black, white, gay or straight, it's all love,' Rose said. 'And that's when it hit me, these are my people, this is where I belong.'
Rose's appearance stood out Monday as the other speakers consisted of politicians, average Americans and a top union boss.
Republican conventions historically haven't had a lot of Hollywood types onstage compared to the Democratic counterparts.
And even Trump's past as a reality TV star hasn't really helped.
In the last decade and a half the most notable onstage celebrity appearance was likely when director and actor Clint Eastwood pretended that a chair was then President Barack Obama, making the case for GOP nominee Mitt Romney in 2012.
Trump attracted a handful of D-listers to the 2016 convention in Cleveland, giving Antonio Sabato Jr. and Scott Baio speaking slots.
In 2020, Trump's convention moved to Washington, D.C. amid the COVID-19 pandemic, with a slimmed down speakers' schedule.
Beyond Rose, reality TV star Savannah Chrisley will speak onstage at the four-day affair.
There were some rumblings that 50 Cent may also be on hand, with CNN reporting Monday that the rapper 'is in talk' with convention officials to perform.
But a spokesperson told DailyMail.com that he currently has a scheduling conflict.
'He's slated to be somewhere else,' his publicist said.
