A money expert has revealed how anyone can become a millionaire without any 'hard work' - and he said it all comes down to a simple mindset shift.

Josh Kaufman, a best-selling author and entrepreneur who has dedicated his life to teaching others 'how successful businesses really work,' recently sat down with Steve Bartlett on his The Diary Of A CEO podcast to share some of his knowledge. 

The finance guru, who is based in Fort Collins, Colorado, claimed that every company shared the same basic 'foundation.'

And he insisted that anyone could launch a triumphant business and get rich if they master it.

According to Josh, it comes down to asking a few 'simple, straightforward, and useful questions.'

When looking to launch a company, he said people should ask themselves, 'How is this business creating value? 

'How does it attract the attention of people who might want or need what this business provides?

'How does it convince people to pull out their wallet or credit card and give the business money? 

'How does the business deliver the value that it is promising to its paying customers? 

'And most important, is it making enough to make all of the time and energy and effort that's being put into the business by the owner and the employees worthwhile?' 

'That's the essence of finance. Understanding business in this very systematic way is a superpower,' he added.

Josh explained that 'every business from the smallest startup to the largest corporation in the world' is based on understanding the importance of these inquiries.

'This is the foundation of every business plan that has or ever will exist because each of these parts is universal, essential, and fundamental,' he continued. 'You have to answer these questions.'

He said that even those who aren't starting their own companies can benefit, because thinking in this way can help you land the perfect job.

'By having this framework in your head, by understanding these things and being able to ask these questions, by being able to know what's important and what's not and think like an owner or an operator is what owners and operators, executives and managers are looking for in terms of people to hire,' dished the author.

Josh told Steve that he thinks becoming wealthy is 'achievable' for anyone, whether they have experience in the business world or not.

'It comes down to answering those fundamental questions - how are you going to create value that someone else in the world wants or needs?' he concluded.
