LA Galaxy are closing in on a deal to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Marco Reus.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the final details are being sorted on the deal and there is still some work to do with the player and his camp.
However the deal is close to being done and the German is set-up for a move to MLS this summer.
The Dortmund legend confirmed earlier this year that he would depart the club at the end of the 2023/24 club season.
That ended in heartbreak at Wembley in the form of a Champions League defeat to Real Madrid.
Borussia Dortmund legend Marco Reus is on the verge of joining the LA Galaxy in MLS
Reus confirmed that he'd be departing the club after the conclusion of the 2023/24 season
Reus was born in Dortmund and spent his youth at Borussia Dortmund's academy before moving to Rot Weiss Ahlen in 2006.
From there he went on to Borussia Monchengladbach, where he played 109 matches before returning to the Schwarzgelben in the summer of 2012.
Across his entire career with Dortmund, Reus accumulated 429 matches - good for fourth in the club's all-time appearance list.
His 170 goals scored for the club are good for second-most all-time - just seven short of record-holder Alfred Preissler's mark.
However, Reus does hold the record for the most assists in club history with 131.
In his time at Dortmund, Reus won the DFB-Pokal twice in 2016-17 and 2020-21 and won the DFL-Supercup in 2013 and 2019.
Reus joined Dortmund the season after they won the league under Jurgen Klopp, something the club hasn't done since. The club was runner-up behind Bayern Munich seven-times - including in the 2022-23 season, where they lost the title on the final day to the Bavarians.
The LA Galaxy are currently third in MLS's Western Conference table and fifth in the race for the Supporters Shield with a record of 12-7-5.
