An ex-Mormon has candidly detailed the various things that take place inside the confines of the religion's sacred temple.
Alyssa Grenfell, 31, grew up in an ultra-strict household but fled from Utah to New York in 2017 - and has since been focusing on reclaiming her body following the move in her late 20s.
The former member of the Mormon church has recently been sharing tidbits about her transformation and her journey to freedom.
Most recently, she took to YouTube to unveil the shocking events that take place within the walls of the temple.
Alyssa lifted the lid on the various rules that Mormons must follow prior to entering and the unique rituals that take place - with one of them even involving the dead.

She captioned the clip, which was shared to YouTube Shorts, 'Everything that happens in a Mormon temple in 60 seconds.'
Alyssa first said that their is an age restriction on who enters the church.
'You're not permitted to enter a temple until your 12 years old,' she noted.
When you first come into the sacred temple, you undergo a ritual with the dead.
The former Mormon added: 'At 12 [years old], you do something called Baptisms for the Dead, where you are baptized in the place where people's souls have passed away.'
After the haunting ritual, you don't undergo any unusual practices until you become a 'worthy adult.'
'Once you are a worthy adult, you do an initiation ceremony where you are ceremoniously washed and anointed.
'Every part of your body is blessed, including your nose, bowels, loins and breast,' she explained.

Following that practice, you are given your religious underclothes, which are intended to be worn everyday.
Alyssa said: 'After the washing and anointing, you receive your garments.
'These are special underwear that you are required to wear day and night for the rest of your life.
'You are then qualified to participate in the endowment ceremony, which is where you are promised to become a king or queen in the Mormon afterlife.
'During the ceremony, you learn about Adam and Eve, secret handshakes and secret gestures.
'You are told you will be able to use this secret information to get past the angels who guard the gates of heaven.'

At the end of the clip, Alyssa revealed that people also get married while donning endowment clothing.

She explained that she believed that the church, also known as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, was 'sponsoring influencers through travel and meals' - adding that the organization was 'funneling money around the term Mormon.'
