President Joe Biden's COVID-19 symptoms nearly cleared up five days after he was diagnosed with the virus for the third time, according to White House Physician Kevin O'Connor.
Biden has not been seen for five days after his COVID diagnosis, and his first public action since dropping out of the race was to release a three-paragraph statement on the police killing of black woman Sonya Massey.
The latest information on Biden's condition comes amid speculation and conspiracies running amok online that the President is either more sick than is being shared or is incapacitated or deceased.
'His symptoms have almost resolved completely,' O'Connor wrote in the latest update on Biden's recovery.
He insisted: 'The President continues to perform all of his presidential duties.'
Speculation is swirling that there is something nefarious going on in the White House and that Biden might not have been behind the decision to end his reelection campaign.
President Joe Biden was last seen Wednesday stepping off Air Force One in Delaware after receiving a positive COVID-19 test during a campaign swing in Nevada
White House Physician Kevin O'Connor released a letter on Monday with the latest update of Biden's medical condition, claiming 'his symptoms have almost resolved completely'
Republicans are now demanding 'proof of life' from Biden after he dropped out of the race via a letter posted on social media.
Biden was last seen Wednesday when he arrived in Delaware after being pulled from the campaign trail when he received in the middle of his swing through Nevada a positive coronavirus diagnosis.
The 81-year-old President announced the end of his campaign in a one-page note posted to X on Sunday.
'I will speak to the Nation later this week in more detail about my decision,' Biden wrote in the letter.
Vice President Kamala Harris arrived at the White House on Monday – but still there are no pictures of sightings of Biden.
Donald Trump said Biden's sickness was a ruse by Democrats to get him off the campaign trail and out of the race. The former president wrote on his Truth Social account: 'Biden never had Covid. He is a threat to Democracy!'
And Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the independent presidential candidate for 2024, says that VP Harris helped cover up Biden's decline ahead of his drop out.
'The perception here is President Biden was forced out,' RFK Jr. told Fox News and called Harris the 'concealer in chief.'
'Kamala has a lot of explaining to do, because she was seeing the President everyday,' he continued. 'She was telling the American public, 'he's completely capable of running the country, there's no signs of deterioration, there's no signs of cognitive impairment.' That clearly wasn't true.'
Republicans, including Rep. Lauren Boebert, are casting doubt over Biden's health and whether he voluntarily stepped down from the presidency
Vice President Kamala Harris arrived at the White House for an event with the National Collegiate Athletic Association where she delivered remarks while President Joe Biden remains hidden
Despite Biden's line vowing to address the nation, Republicans are still skeptical of his health status and are demanding he emerge by the end of the day on Monday to confirm in-person his decision to drop out.
'I demand proof of life from Joe Biden today by 5:00pm,' Rep. Lauren Boebert posted to X on Monday.
'He needs to get in front of some camera and discuss if he's aware that he dropped out,' the Colorado Republican wrote. 'Hiding is completely unacceptable.'
Republican National Committeewoman from California Harmeet Dhillon posted to X: 'Would anyone else here like to know the whereabouts and current health status of President Biden?'
And journalist Glenn Greenwald - an anti-Biden left-winger - posted on the social media site deeming it 'strange and wrong' that Biden has yet to give a televised announcement.
'I don't endorse Biden conspiracies, but still: It's strange and wrong that Biden hasn't spoken given the historic magnitude of his announcement,' Greenwald wrote.
'Having a President drop out by tweet and then disappear is bizarre. If he's well enough to decide, then he's well enough to speak.'
The last spotting of Biden was when he disembarked from Air Force One in Dover, Delaware on Wednesday evening following the positive COVID-19 test.
Biden's health was ultimately what ended his campaign after a disastrous debate against Donald Trump, 78, last month and speculation swirling over his fitness for office.
Worries were only exacerbated after the President's younger brother said that it was a factor in him standing down.
'I'm incredibly proud of my brother. Selfishly, I will have him back to enjoy whatever time we have left,' Frank Biden told CBS News.
Biden's first action after dropping out of the race was to release a statement on the death of young black mother Sonya Massey at the hands of law enforcement.
'Sonya called the police because she was concerned about a potential intruder. When we call for help, all of us as Americans – regardless of who we are or where we live – should be able to do so without fearing for our lives,' read Biden's statement.
'Sonya's death at the hands of a responding officer reminds us that all too often Black Americans face fears for their safety in ways many of the rest of us do not.'
He insisted: 'Sonya's family deserves justice. I am heartbroken for her children and her entire family as they face this unthinkable and senseless loss.'
Small business owner Steve Ferguson demanded: 'We need a proof of life video.'
Republican National Committeewoman from California Harmeet Dhillon shared her thoughts on X
National Reviews writer and podcast host Jeff Blehar also shared his skepticism over the way Biden ended his campaign on Sunday
Harris, who was seen arriving at the White House on Monday morning, posted to X: 'It's the first full day of our campaign, so I'm heading up to Wilmington, DE later to say 'hello' to our staff in HQ.'
'One day down. 105 to go. Together, we're going to win this,' she added.
Students for Trump Director Ryan Fournier replied to the tweet with: 'Is Joe Biden alive?'
'Joe Biden has not been seen in public since he boarded a plane, in extremely unsteady health, on Friday,' wrote Jeff Blehar, a podcast host and writer for National Review.
'He resigned the nomination in a poorly-written statement clearly penned by a subordinate,' Blehar continued in his X post. 'He 'endorsed' Kamala Harris only in a tweet (A TWEET) later sent by a social media account (!) he does not control or use.'
'He has not been seen in public since then,' he went on. 'Kamala Harris is speaking this morning before he has even explained why he's stepping back to the American people.'
'He is in a parlous state right now, is my guess. How parlous? You guess that yourself.'
