Sydney Sweeney's cellphone was taken over by scammers on the same day her X account was hacked to promote a crypto coin scam.

The 26-year-old Anyone But You star's online attack was revealed after a copy of a Verizon Wireless receipt from July 2 was posted online showing changes were made to her cellphone account.

This came on the same day the star's official X account posted cryptic messages plugging a cryptocurrency scam.

The photo - obtained by 404Media - shows a letter reading: 'Hi SYDNEY SWEENEY, Thank you for your order. If you have any question [sic], please feel free to contact me.' There was also an iPhone and box next to the receipt with all items resting on a Mercedes-Benz S550.

The publication says the receipt indicates Sweeney was  a victim of 'SIM swapping.'

Sim-swapping is a scam in which a thief transfers a victim's phone number to a phone owned by themselves.

Once the phone number has been transferred to the thief's phone, that person can then receive or place calls and send text messages using the stolen number.

DailyMail.com has contacted representatives for Sydney Sweeney for comment.

Verizon spokesman Richard Young, said in a statement to the publication: 'Verizon takes customer privacy and account security very seriously. When an issue is brought to our attention, we work quickly to investigate and remediate the issue, and work to ensure it doesn't happen again.

'While we cannot discuss a specific customer situation, our approach in this instance is no different than any other.'

The mysterious now-deleted messages on Sweeney's account read: 'Well I think it's time $sweeney is now live 100mc incoming. At 10mc, 10% of the supply will be burnt.'

The post included a link that redirected users to a Pump.fun meme coin which hackers claimed was from the actress.

Another message read: 'going live on spaces soon stay tuned to see what $sweeney can do.'

Sweeney swiftly regained control of the account and the posts were erased.

This comes after Doja Cat claimed her X account was hacked recently after a series of recent tweets raised eyebrows, including one that slammed fellow rapper Iggy Azalea

The 28-year-old Agora Hills hitmaker took to her reactivated Instagram — which she previously shut down in March over online bullying — to share the caption: 'My twitter's been hacked, these messages are not from me.'

The Grammy winner's message came shortly after a tweet from her X read: 'f*** that stupid b**** @IGGYAZALEA and buy $DOJA.'

Another alarming tweet from the hacked account called out a different female rapper, as it read: 'where you at boo @NICKIMINAJ.'

Doja's account also commented on a post by controversial social media personality Andrew Tate, simply writing, 'hey boo.'

An additional hacked tweet, among many others, featured a photo of the singer in a chainmail hood, brandishing a knife, accompanied by the text: 'buy $DOJA or else.'

Iggy, meanwhile, appeared unfazed by the alleged diss, promptly tweeting, 'Get rugged if yall want but I’m cool w that girl irl so yall f***** up w that tweet hackers.'

Adding her perspective on Doja's social media incident, the Australian rapper also shared, 'They hacked Doja cat n have posted a sh**coin scam.'

She continued: 'Hackers on celeb girl accounts again making it about me cause I’m their fixation but they didn’t consider the fact that I may actually interact w ppl in real life and it’s not fitting into reality lol.'

Nicki and Andrew have yet to publicly respond to the tweets.

In March, Doja Cat deactivated her Instagram account after announcing to her followers that the sudden exit was due to how she was 'spoken to' and 'treated' on the social media app.
