Jersey Shore star Angelina Pivarnick has pleaded not guilty to assault and resisting arrest after an alleged domestic violence incident at the $1.3M New Jersey mansion she shares with fiancé Vinny Tortorella.

Then 37-year-old TV personality was arrested on Sunday, June 2, at 11 p.m. after a visit from the Freehold Township Police Department, DailyMail.com can report after attending a virtual court hearing held on Tuesday, July 23.

Pivarnick was present for the virtual hearing, held by the Freehold Township Municipal Court, and she was joined by her attorney James Leonard, who also represents Real Housewives Of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice.

Tortorella also briefly appeared in the Zoom hearing on a separate device, but he then left the meeting.

She is being charged with 'simple assault, criminal mischief, obstructing the administration of law and resisting arrest,' a county clerk said during the virtual hearing.

A police complaint says Pivarnick ran from officers and tried to lock them out of her home. It also says an unnamed male victim suffered 'bodily injury' after she allegedly struck and scratched his hands; she and Tortorella are pictured in 2023

Judge Nicole Sonnenblick, who presided over the hearing, entered around 2:10 p.m.

The Jersey Shore star and her lawyer James Leonard discussed resetting the hearing in favor of an in-person hearing that would take place at the end of August.

Both Judge Sonnenblick and Pivarnick's attorney agreed that police officers do not need to be present during the upcoming hearing.

As police responded to Pivarnick's home, she 'did commit an act of obstructing by purposely running from uniformed officers in an attempt to run into a house, lock the door and prevent law enforcement to conduct a domestic violence investigation,' according to the complaint signed by one of the responding officers, via the Asbury Park Press.

The complaint also alleges that the reality star pulled her arms away from officers and refused to follow their orders after she was in custody.

The victim's name has been redacted from the complaint, but he was said to have a 'bodily injury' allegedly incurred by Pivarnick 'striking him with her hands/fists causing scratches, redness and complaint of pain to the victim's hands.'

That alleged injury was the basis for Pivarnick's simple assault charge, and she was also charged with criminal mischief for after police claimed she hit the victim's 'vehicle with her hands causing damage under $500.'

The victim reportedly gave officers a statement about the alleged attack on his vehicle and presented them with a video of that incident, according to the outlet.

Pivarnick was never taken to jail and was, instead, released on summons and ticketed.

Pivarnick's attorney James Leonard claimed the incident was a 'very minor' one that was 'exacerbated' by a bad reaction to prescription drugs in a statement to TMZ.

'This is nothing more than a very minor incident that was exacerbated by an adverse reaction to prescribed over-the-counter medication,' he said.

'We look forward to resolving this matter favorably and putting it behind us. Angelina is home resting and has no further comment at this time.'

Pivarnick snapped up the four bedroom, five bathroom Freehold property in October 2021, following her divorce from Chris Larangeira in January 2021.

She began dating Tortorella in 2022 after they connected on social media. The couple got engaged in 2023.

Their proposal was documented in an April 2023 episode of MTV's Jersey Shore: Family Vacation — a revival of the hit reality series Jersey Shore — that began airing in 2018.

Months later, Page Six reported that Angelina called the police on Vinny after an alleged altercation at her home.

The publication obtained a police report showing Angelina had dialed 911 after a claimed instance of domestic violence in August.

However, when police arrived on the scene, the reality star declined to press charges against Tortorella.

A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request made by Page Six revealed that a 'criminal investigatory record' was made in light of the alleged altercation.

Pivarnick's attorney told the publication at the time: 'I can confirm that Angelina did in fact call the police to her home. After speaking with the officers, Angelina decided not to file charges.

'This matter is now closed. Moving forward, Angelina would ask for privacy as it pertains to her personal life,' he added.

Tortorella's attorney, Elizabeth Rozin-Golinder, also told the publication that nothing has changed regarding the couple's relationship status, as they are still engaged.

'My client and Ms. Pivarnick are still engaged and are still residing together,' she explained. 'Mr. Tortorella denies any act of impropriety that would warrant police involvement and denies any act of domestic violence occurred.

'No charges have been pressed against my client by Ms. Pivarnick or law enforcement. I ask that his privacy be respected in this regard,' she said.

A source told Page Six that despite the incident, the couple were 'still very much in love with one another' and their engagement had not been called off.

They were busy shooting the seventh season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, which premiered in February 2024 and aired its season finale in May.

In a December interview with Life & Style, Angelina confessed that she and her future husband had been 'fighting a lot' and that he didn't provide the emotional support she needed when her beloved dog fell ill.

'I'm not a mother of human children. But I want human babies. But I'm not going to have one with somebody that always fights with me over bulls***,' she said.
