A Florida Congressman has slammed his Tennessee Republican counterpart for calling Kamala Harris a 'DEI hire' - saying he might as well have used the N-word.

Maxwell Frost, 27, erupted in fury after Representative Tim Burchett insisting on CNN that the vice president was not the Democratic candidate based on merit.

'They want to call her a DEI president, or a DEI candidate. She has more experience than Trump and J.D. Vance combined, times a million, right?' he told CNN's Jim Acosta Tuesday.

'She worked at the state level, she was the attorney general, she was vice president, she was a senator representing one of the largest states in the entire country.

'And so these are just racist dog whistles. Whenever you hear DEI, I want you to think about the N-word. I want you to think about racial slurs. That's what they actually mean,' he concluded.

Burchett insisted Biden 'just skipped over' white female co-candidate options before calling Harris, 59, mediocre.

'What about any other group? Just when you go down that route, you take mediocrity.

'And that's what they have right now as a vice president,' the Tennessee Republican told the outlet. '100 percent. She was a DEI hire.'

'Her record is abysmal at best,' the 59-year-old politician, who is up for reelection in Tennessee's 2nd District, said.

He also the Secret Service director, who has since stepped down following the attempted assassination of Trump, a 'DEI horror show.'

'Ma'am, you are a DEI horror story,' Burchett told Kimberly Cheatle during a Capitol Hill hearing on Monday.

Marjorie Taylor Green, of Georgia, also recently made comments regarding Harris' gender and skin color.

She said: 'She wasn't chosen because she was truly highly ranked amongst Democratic voters throughout the country. She was chosen for a reason.

'And it seems to be that her, unfortunately, her gender and maybe her skin color was part of that,' she told Fox News Digital.

Frost said the Republican wing would going to a 'racist' and 'misogynistic' route to discredit Harris, who is set to become the 2024 Democratic nominee after President Joe Biden dropped out of the race

But the Gen-Z politician isn't worried too much, as he says he knows Harris is 'qualified' for the role and continued to defend her.

He responded to a tweet that accused several minority government employees - including Harris, Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, and Frost himself - of all being DEI hires.

'Just say you hate Black people. Takes less typing,' Frost responded to the list that named more than 11 government employees.

A Fox Business guest made a shocking sex slur about Harris on July 21, calling her the 'original Hawk Tuah girl.'

'Kamala Harris, she is the original Hawk Tuah girl - that's the way she got where she is, and the party is going downhill if it's in her hands,' Podcaster Alec Lace said.

The provocative right-winger was comparing the Democrat to Hailey Welch, who shot to viral fame after she described spitting as part of a sexual act during an on-street interview.

Lace's inflammatory comment prompted Fox host Dagen McDowell to reply with, 'That was harsh.'

Lace then took to X to address his words about the VP, writing: 'Did I go too far on FOX News calling -Kamala Harris the OG Hawk Tuah girl or am I right over the target?'

As Harris embarks on her own presidential campaign, Republican presidential candidate Trump has already attacked her over her romance with former San Francisco mayor and notorious playboy, Willie Brown, 90, who is 31 years Harris's senior and dated her in the 1990s.

He responded to a tweet that accused several minority government employees - including Harris, Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, and Frost himself - of all being DEI hires. 'Just say you hate Black people.' he wrote

In his July 4th message, Trump wrote: 'Respects to our potentially new Democrat Challenger, Laffin' Kamala Harris.

'She did poorly in the Democrat Nominating process, starting out at Number Two, and ending up defeated and dropping out, even before getting to Iowa, but that doesn't mean she's not a 'highly talented' politician. Just ask her Mentor, the Great Willie Brown of San Francisco.'

Throughout her career, the vice president has been repeatedly forced to deny that her relationship with Brown was the defining step in her political career

The fling fizzled decades ago, but in the years since, Harris has struggled to shirk her association with Brown, whom she later described as 'an albatross hanging around my neck.'
