Malia Obama flashed her midriff while on a glitzy night out with celebrity pals in Los Angeles.

The former First Daughter of Barack and Michelle Obama kept her look cute and coordinated as she stepped out of the infamous Chateau Marmont Hotel.

Malia, 26, opted for black boots, a floral mini skirt and a red long sleeve top which flaunted her midriff.

She was joined by singer Kim Petras and Jack Nicholson's, son Ray Nicholson, who sported a monochrome white look.

Malia's long, auburn hair was pulled back into a half up, half down style which showed off a pair of hoop earrings.

The outfit was complimented by a sleek black purse to match her shoes. 

She was seen clutching her phone as she headed out trailed by two women. 

The $700-a-night Chateau Marmont has long been a celebrity hangout, with the likes of Robert DeNiro, Robin Williams and Keanu Reeves all spotted at the famous haunt. 

Blues Brother founder John Belushi also notably spent his final hours at the hotel before he succumbed to a fatal drug overdose in 1982.

The hotel's high profile clientele has historically seen it embroiled in several scandals.

Regular guest Britney Spears was photographed barefoot and in her underwear, being escorted out of the hotel while clutching a pillow following an alleged altercation with her boyfriend earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Lindsay Lohan was reportedly barred from the establishment after failing to pay her massive tab. 

Malia's outing on Saturday was the second time the aspiring filmmaker has bared her abs in recent weeks, after being spotted picking up a prescription from CVS wearing a crop top and low baggy pants.

Despite being the daughter of a former president, Malia has tried to distance herself from her family name as she pursues a career as a screenwriter.

Malia has dropped her famous surname for her debut short film at the Sundance Film Festival in an attempt to shake off the nepotism baby stigma.

The former first daughter has written and directed 'The Heart,' a short film about the relationship between a mother and her son.

But instead of using her family name in the credits, she has chosen to ditch Obama and use her middle name, Ann, instead - going by Malia Ann.

The short was her first film to appear at Sundance after she interned on HBO's Girls and worked for Harvey Weinstein 's production company. 

She also reportedly works as a staff writer on Donald Glover's Amazon Prime series Swarm.
