Huma Abedin and fiancé Alex Soros looked like the epitome of a happy couple as they celebrated her 49th birthday together with a lavish party.

Huma turned 49 on Sunday, and her soon-to-be husband commemorated the occasion by throwing her a huge celebration.

And afterwards, Alex, 38, shared a slew of images from the fun-filled day to his Instagram.

He and Huma, who got engaged last month, cozied up in one of the snaps, as he lovingly placed his hand on her shoulder.

She cuddled the investor in the sweet snap, leaning her head onto his shoulder while they both grinned towards the camera.

Hillary Clinton's former deputy chief of staff donned a figure-hugging black gown for the event, which came complete with a low-cut neckline, ruffles, and a lacy white section near the chest.

As for Alex, who is the son of billionaire George Soros, he opted for a salmon pink sports jacket and white pants.

Another photo from his carousel showed the stunning set-up for the party, which included two long tables outdoors so guests could dine under the stars.

An array of twinkling lights were hung over the eating area to make a truly breathtaking setting.

The party had its very own ice cream truck, which seemed to be a hit amongst the guests, as one picture showed a long line of people gathered outside it.

Alex also posted a video that showed Huma's reaction to discovering the ice cream truck.

She giggled excitedly before she covered her face in awe.

'I did say no cake,' she told one of her pals, who replied, 'This is so much better.'

Huma and Alex got engaged in June, but kept it a secret until weeks later.

It wasn't until early July, after reports emerged that said they were getting married, that the couple confirmed they were gearing up to walk down the aisle together.

'This happened… we couldn't be happier, more grateful, or more in love,' Alex wrote on his Instagram Stories alongside a snap from the moment he got down on one knee.

Huma was previously married to disgraced New York politician Anthony Weiner.

She and Alex, who has been named as the heir to his father's $25 billion empire, first revealed that they were dating on Valentine's Day, when they shared a PDA-filled snap from Paris.

They reportedly met through a mutual friend and have been traveling together over the summer. 

They then made their red carpet debut when they attended the Met Gala together in May.

Huma's ex Anthony was engulfed in a number of high-profile scandals during their relationship.

He was caught on multiple occasions sending explicit snaps to various women - even during his political campaigns. 

He was later sentenced to 21 months in prison after he began sexting a 15-year-old girl. 

Huma, who had initially stood by him, eventually decided to pull the plug and the pair went their separate ways in 2017. 

The former couple share a son, named Jordan, who was born in 2011.
