Kelly Clarkson praised by fans for 'humble' act before glamming up for 2024 Olympics hosting gig

Kelly Clarkson was inundated with compliments from her fans when she decided to go makeup free to record a video for her 7.5 million Instagram followers.

Kelly, 42, is currently in Paris where she is hosting NBC's coverage of the 2024 Olympics and couldn't resist sharing a video from her hotel room on Friday ahead of the opening ceremony.

The mother-of-two went bare-faced for the selfie clip and showed off her glowing complexion whilst dressed in the Team USA navy blue single-breasted wool blazer with red-and-white tipping, which was designed by Ralph Lauren.

Kelly's fans immediately took to the comments section to praise her look as one person wrote: 'You are so gorgeous make up free too! Get it girl!' while another said: 'Love the fresh and natural look!'

A third person told Kelly: 'You look really good without your makeup it's natural very lovely,' while another added: 'Thank you for showing up barefaced. And natural, so tired of all these filters and [A-lister's] that need makeup before they will even make a post. RESPECT.'

Another fan gushed: 'You are such a breath of fresh air. So relatable and so humble. And you look pretty in this natural photo,' and someone else said: 'Wow you are very beautiful without makeup.'

Kelly began the video by saying: 'Alright y'all, so I am headed for the Olympics opening ceremony, I'm very excited, I've had a lot of fun this week with Mike and Peyton.

'Not my first time to be at an Olympics, I was in Torino actually performing one winter Olympics, but this is my first summer Olympics, first time hosting, so excited, I've had such a good time with NBC, all the people here, everybody's been working so hard behind the scenes.'

She continued: 'But I'm on my way out the door, my kids are playing Road Blocks currently, I just died a lot while playing with them! Anyway I'm headed out, we have to be there way earlier than everybody else to get ready. I can't wait to hang out with everybody on the Today show.

'It's gonna be really, really rad, you're gonna love it. It's gonna be a celebration of life, Paris is so cool with that. They have such a cool way of living and celebrating everything. I had the most wonderful dinner last night at a place called Gigi.

'Shout out to Michael Douglas for telling... I didn't mean to namedrop, I was just saying shout out because he gave me a whole list of restaurants to go to and I actually had time to to check one out and it was so beautiful and it was so cool and it's just a little glimpse of what we're going to get tonight, entertainment wise.'

Kelly finished the video by informing her fans that she 'hadn't had a lot of sleep,' before she headed off to get ready for an evening of work.

Hours later, she emerged wearing a chic blue dress as she posed for photos in front of the Eiffel Tower.

The Stronger hitmaker flaunted her recent weight loss in the long-sleeved garment which featured a bejeweled collar and sexy thigh-high split.

Kelly teamed it with a pair of silver stilettos and bright red lipstick and wore her hair up in a high ponytail as she flashed a huge grin with one hand on her hip.
