A Florida man who was dubbed a 'modern-day miracle' after he awoke from a 244-day coma in 2017 was tragically killed after being hit by a truck days before his 30th birthday.
Drew Kohn's tragic passing was confirmed in a GoFundMe page that has been set up to help his family to pay for his funeral and help to pay for the medical bills that he accrued during his life.
Kohn is described on the page as a 'modern-day miracle who is now completely healed and free, sitting at the feet of Jesus.'
'While we miss him more than words can express, we are at peace knowing he is finally home.'
He was killed on July 26 in Jacksonville, Florida, around 5:30am after being struck by a pick-up trick. Kohn was declared dead at the scene. The driver co-operated with authorities and said that he didn't see Kohn.

Kohn was in a coma for eight months in 2017 before he defied doctor's expectations and woke up
It was seven years ago when Kohn was hurt in a motorcycle accident which left him 'brain dead,' doctors told his family.
He suffered a traumatic brain injury, two impaled lungs, a broken shoulder, pelvis and ribs.
Just eight months later, the man defied the doctors and awoke from his coma, going on to life 'life to the fullest.'
In a 2019 interview, his mother Yolanda Osborne-Kohn told First Coast News how she prayed daily at her son's bedside.
'When you say someone has been in a coma 244 days, they look like death. They act like death. They smell like death. You've seen Drew hooked on vital machines. Just nothing, unresponsive for months and months and months.'
That’s what I kept getting was that I was delusional. Why do I think he's going to wake up?,' she said.
At the time, Kohn spoke about working with various rehab centers in order to get his life back on track as well as using a special device to help him speak.
'I have learned that it is never what it looks like and having more faith,' he said.

During an interview with WLTV recently, Osborne-Kohn, maintained that the doctors were more concerned with 'harvesting his organs' rather than focusing on his recovery.
'It was because of my faith that gave me the boldness to speak up and push back and let them know, "You're not getting a toenail or an eyelash,"' the grieving mother said.
'God honored my request, and I'm not mad. I'm not angry. I'm at peace. I got seven years and like Hezekiah who turned his face to the wall, I remember sitting on Drew's hospital bed and saying to myself, "Thy will be done."'
Osborne-Kohn added that she knows her son is in heaven and is no longer suffering.
'Drew is healed, walking, not struggling to keep his balance. His arm is probably lifted so high saying 'Thank you, Jesus!' Drew probably has a football in one hand and a Bible in the other,' she added.
This crowdfunding page pays tribute to his faith, saying Kohn pointed those who he met to Jesus.
'He was passionate about helping those struggling with trauma and traumatic brain injuries, always giving them hope.'
