Former President Donald Trump tore into Vice President Kamala Harris calling her 'weird' in a blistering new interview.
Trump was speaking with Fox News' Laura Ingraham about the frequent attacks by her campaign on himself and his VP pick Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance.
The Harris team, and prominent Democrats, hatched a new line of attack on the Trump-Vance ticket this week calling the MAGA Republicans 'weird.'
Trump tried to flip around the narrative, calling it a 'con job.'
'Do you know who is plain weird? She's plain weird,' Trump told the host on her Ingraham Angle show.
'She's a weird person. Look at her past. Look at what she does.'
Former President Donald Trump called his presumed 2024 rival Kamala Harris a 'weird person'
Then he switched to innuendo, at a time when his team is focused on some of the left-wing policy positions from her 2020 campaign that Harris has been jettisoning.
'And look at what she used to say about herself, and I won't get into it, what she used to say and who she was compared to, what she said starting at about 2016. She became a totally different person. Only for political reasons,' Trump said.
In 2011, Trump gave $5,000 to Harris' campaign for California attorney general according to records. He gave another $1,000 in 2013 before her reelection to the top law enforcement post.
Democrats have been leaning into the 'weird' attack, which was first rolled out by Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, a leading contender as a potential Harris running mate.
His fury at the 'weird' attack came after Trump inveighed about the Russia probe from his White House tenure.
Trump made the comments to Fox News host Laura Ingraham
'And look at what she used to say about herself, and I won't get into it, what she used to say and who she was compared to,' Trump said, without further explanation
'Look what they do is they take soundbites,' Trump said. 'Russia, Russia, Russia. He's a paid associate of Putin! These people are crazy,' Trump said.
Then after blasting the Russia probe, Trump started tearing into Joe Biden's golf game.
'And everything about them, look at Biden. He said he'll challenge me to golf. I'm a very good golfer. He's a terrible golfer. This guy can't hit a ball 30 yards,' Trump said.
Then he bragged about hitting a 'nice 7-iron right next to the pin' at his golf course.
Trump also reverted to attacks on Biden during a radio interview Tuesday, where he claimed Harris 'doesn't like Jewish people' despite being married to Doug Emhoff, who is Jewish.
The Democratic 'weird' attacks on Trump are themselves a pivot away from some of the main campaing themes that President Biden was stressing when he was set to to be the Party nominee, calling Trump a threat to democracy itself and repeatedly hitting him for stoking his supporters before January 6.
Democrats have been dropping the attack into interviews and online slams on Trump and running mate J.D. Vance, using it to contest his slams on 'childless' leaders he says don't have enough of a stake in the country.
Walz called Trump and Vance 'just weird' in an interview last week.
Then Harris used the attack at a fundraiser, saying Trump's 'wild lies about my record and some of what he and his running mate are saying, it is just plain weird.'
Harris also asked Trump a questions about the pronouns Harris uses to label herself – which she posts on her campaign X account.
'Kamala Harris, in her Twitter bio, which I've never noticed until this morning, states her pronouns as she/her,' Ingraham said, asking her subject: 'What are your pronouns?'
'I have no—I don't want pronouns,' Trump responded. 'I don't want pronouns, I saw that.'
'So you're fluid?' asked, using a gender term.
'Nobody even knows what that means,' said Trump.
