A TikTok user shocked video viewers after claiming he earns $21 per hour at Walgreens.
Griffin (@griffinchace) went viral this week after he posted a video on the social media platform claiming he earns his hourly wage by 'doing nothing.'
The Walgreens worker referred to it as the 'easiest job ever,' but admitted to hating every second he worked there.
However, many stunned TikTok users were impressed with the alleged salary, and one person thought it was a 'dream job.'
Griffin said he has been working at Walgreens for eight months and that he works inside the store and not as a pharmacy technician.
Griffin (@griffinchace) revealed he makes $21 an hour at Walgreens in a viral TikTok video this week
He didn't clarify his Walgreens job title, but he appeared to be a cashier or a customer service associate.
Based on salaries estimated from employees, users, and past and present job advertisements on Indeed in the US, the average salary for a Walgreens cashier or customer service associate could be anywhere from $12.71 to $20.48.
Factors that go into deciding what a Walgreens employee’s salary include skills, education, experience, and store location.
Pharmacists usually make more money than cashiers or other customer service workers at Walgreens, which was likely why a TikTok user assumed he was a pharmacy technician.
Glassdoor concluded that the total pay range for a Walgreens pharmacist as of July 2024 is between $112,000 and $141,000 a year.
This total pay range would fit with the hourly pharmacist salary, which Walgreens said on its website was between $45.55 and $64.35 per hour.

A Reddit user who claimed to be a Walgreens employee created a post in 2021 after feeling he was being 'underpaid.'
Two commenters who claimed to be pharmacists at Walgreens wrote that they made at least $45 an hour.
Reddit users who were allegedly shift leaders made between $15 and $16 despite their claims of working at Walgreens stores for more than five years.
'I got hired at $10 an hour and worked there for four years to get it to $11.34. But the new high school kids were getting $11 base,' a Reddit user wrote.
'I left the company in the mid-2000s and was an executive assistant store manager in a state where the minimum wage was $7 an hr,' another Reddit user claimed in a comment.
'When I left, I was making $31 an hour. I came back about seven years ago as an assistant store manager trainee at $15, then assistant store manager at $18.50. Raises got me to $21.'

A TikTok user who claimed to have worked at two Walgreens stores had nothing but positive things to say about their experience.
'Working at Walgreens was the most laid-back job I ever had. I liked it a lot. I worked in the cosmetics department,' they wrote.
Others have called their experiences 'horrible' and 'miserable,' while another backed up Griffin's alleged hourly salary.
'I love it there! One lady who has been with the company for 27 years makes more than $30 an hour and gets overtime,' a TikToker wrote.
At least three commenters who claimed to be in the medical field admitted they allegedly make much less than Griffin.
A TikToker wrote: 'I’ve been doing my job at a very busy hospital as unit clerk for almost 17 years and make $21. I think I’d rather work at Walgreens.'
