A medic has gone viral on social media after mistakenly thinking a chair was given to him while he tended to Brazilian fencer Nathalie Moellhausen at the Paris Olympics.
Moellhausen fainted during her match against Ruien Xiao of Canada on Saturday and revealed afterwards that she has a benign tumor on her coccyx that had been causing her pain.
Moments after Moellhausen went down, two trainers in Brazil uniform went over to help her while another organizer brought over a chair.
One of the trainers saw the chair and sat down on it, before the organizer could be seen telling him that it was brought over for Moelhausen. Quickly realizing his error, the trainer quickly jumped back up and helped Moelhausen take the seat.
But with the eyes of the world on the Olympic Games in Paris, it was moment that the unnamed assistant won't be able to forget anytime soon.

'I'm gonna say he was trying to make sure it was sturdy by sitting on it,' said one fan on X with a rather generous interpretation of the incident.
Another wrote: 'He's just warming it up for her. Those chairs are cold.'
A different fan reacted by saying: 'When in big stress, I’ll do similar stupid things. I feel for him.'
Moellhausen, meanwhile, has now brought forward her surgery to Monday.
The tumor was apparently discovered back in February but Moellhausen is believed to have postponed surgery after being told it was benign.
But it reportedly still caused enough pain for her to be hospitalized before the Games began, and she apparently needed morphine to relive her of her back pain.
