Harrison Ford candidly spoke about his role in the forthcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film Captain America: Brave New World, giving his take on the intricacies of doing the motion capture process.
The Chicago-born actor, 82, chat with Variety at Comic-Con about commandeering the role of Thaddeus 'Thunderbolt' Ross in the forthcoming motion picture, which was formerly played by late actor William Hurt.
Ford's Ross character is the U.S. president in the storyline of the forthcoming film, which will also see the character transform into the Red Hulk character.
Ford was asked about what it took to perform the motion capture process filmmakers use to make the transition in characters.
'What did it take? It took not caring,' said the Oscar-nominated actor, famed for playing Indiana Jones, and Han Solo in the Star Wars films. 'It took being an idiot for money, which I've done before.'

The Hollywood icon said that he didn't 'mean to disparage' the movie, which he 'had a great time' making.
'I'm just saying you have to do certain things that normally your mother would not want you to do - or your acting coach, if you had one,' The Fugitive leading man said. 'But it's fun, and I enjoyed it.'
Ford said he was 'delighted at the response that we got with the trailer' that debuted at the annual entertainment convention in San Diego.
Ford last year appeared in the motion picture Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, in which filmmakers implemented special effects to make him appear younger for his performance in one of his signature roles.
Ford's Captain America 4 costar Anthony Mackie, who plays Captain America/Sam Wilson in the movie, told the outlet Inverse in June of 2023 that the veteran actor carries 'this aura about him,' adding, 'He's Harrison f***ing Ford.'
Mackie said that Ford 'dispels that [aura] really quickly because he's such a cool guy' and 'everything a movie star should be.
'He would say, "Let's shoot this piece of s***." And everybody was like, 'Yeah, let's shoot this s***.'
Ford also spoke with the outlet ScreenRant at Comic-Con and was asked about how working in the MCU was akin to his efforts on past film franchises including Indiana Jones and Star Wars.

Ford said of the vast film franchise, 'It's a whole different cut of cloth, isn't it? Free of some normal constraints to the imagination. It's delightful to deal with and it's fun.'
Ford praised his colleagues on Captain America 4, saying, 'The people I worked with were fantastic,' saying that the film's director Julius Onah 'did a terrific job' and Mackie 'is great fun to work with.'
He added: 'We had a good time. I enjoyed it.'
Ford was asked about who he believed the anchor of the MCU's Earth-616 - known as 'The Sacred Timeline' in which the events of the MCU take place - would be.
Ford replied, '616? I am in universe 616? I am out of my orbit!'
Captain America: Brave New World is slated to debut in theaters February 12, 2025.
