For some athletes, the 2024 Olympics is a bit of a love affair - because they're competing alongside their partners.

Katie told The Sydney Morning Herald that she had heard a little about Alex through mutual friends, and decided to approach him after she saw him in the lobby.
'We bumped into each other at six in the morning and ended up getting a coffee,' she recalled.
They immediately hit it off as she added, 'From that moment, I knew I was in it for the long haul.'
Soon after they got together, however, the COVID-19 pandemic forced them to be physically apart as they were locked down in different countries.
But that didn't stop their bond from growing even stronger.
