Hooters is set to open three restaurants in an unexpected location and it's causing uproar among some in the local community.
The restaurant, known for its scantily clad waitresses, has announced it is opening new restaurants in Florida retirement hotspot, The Villages.
The company claims the move - to what is widely regarded as the largest retirement community in the world - is meeting a popular demand. But some local women are far from impressed.
One such resident, Barbara Procko, wrote to local paper Villages News about the 'trashy' establishment she fears will lower the tone of the community.
'What brain trust thinks a Hooters establishment is a good fit for a senior retirement community?' Procko wrote to the outlet's editor.

If I wanted to live with trash, I would have moved to a trashy place,' she added.
Maddy Courtier, another Villages resident, was inclined to agree.
'We love living here in such a beautiful community. The community is well maintained with beautiful golf courses,' she wrote in her own letter.
'I feel that Hooters is a trashy restaurant and really who will go there?' she asked.
'Golfers, grandparents taking their children and grandchildren? In my opinion, it will not be a good fit and will end up closing down,' the letter concluded.
Hooters will be betting that Courter is wrong, as the move into the retirement market appears to be a last ditch effort to revive the chain following a raft of recent closures.
It emerged in June that Hooters had shuttered 40 restaurants in recent months, as it battles dwindling customers and rising costs.
The closures included locations in Florida, Kentucky, Rhode Island, Texas and Virginia.
'Like many restaurants under pressure from current market conditions, Hooters has made the difficult decision to close a select number of underperforming stores,' a spokesperson told DailyMail.com at the time.
The openings also mark something of a return to Hooter's home state, having opened its first location in Clearwater, Florida in 1983.
'There are three locations coming to The Villages,' a spokesperson for Hooters said in a statement.
'The residents of The Villages have asked for Hooters and we are excited to bring them,' the spokesperson explained.
'We are looking forward to growing and expanding in this prime market for years to come.'
The first location, opening in early 2025, will be at Lake Deaton Plaza on Kristine Way.
The Villages may be turning their nose up at Hooters, but reports paint a picture of the retirement community as anything but a sleepy backwater.

Maia Marie, 23, revealed the shocking amount she earns in just four hours at Hooters
Recent reports suggest the sprawling site is actually a haven of drunken debauchery that includes a thriving swingers' scene and black market for Viagra.
Earlier this week, a Hooters waitress Maia Marie, 23, revealed she made more than $450 in just one half shift at the chain.
'I ended up walking out of there with $451,' Marie said in a viral TikTok video viewed 3.8 million times. So, over a full shift it would likely be double that.
Hooters has shutting the 40 locations earlier this year has leff it with about 300 restaurants globally. That is down from 333 in 2018, according to Techonomic.
Meanwhile, another so-called ‘breastaurant’ chain Bombshells has suffered a sharp drop in takings.
Bombshells is a chain of military-themed restaurants founded in Texas where waitresses wear crop tops and bullet belts.
