An influencer remains on the run after he allegedly ran over and killed a motorcyclist in Brazil.
Renan da Silva, 24, is said to have been behind the wheel of his Porsche Boxster when he plowed head-on into local farmer Adilson de Lima, 47, in Teresópolis, a city in southeastern state of Rio de Janeiro last Thursday.
A surveillance camera mounted next to a property showed the luxury vehicle traveling on road BR-116 when it crashed with the motorcycle.
Da Silva didn't stop to check on de Lima, who was pronounced dead on the scene.

His lawyers, Eduardo Velith and Felipe de Oliveira, said in a statement that he was not driving the Porsche at the time of the accident while suggesting that authorities wanted to blame him due to is fame.
'Renan had no involvement in the incident and was not the driver of the vehicle,' the attorney's said. 'Although we deeply regret the loss of life and express our sincere condolences to the victim's family, it is unfair that Renan, due to his public notoriety, should be subject to an unfounded accusation.
'We also request that the police authorities deepen their investigations.'
However, the Rio de Janeiro Civil Police chief Marcio Duburgas said they are certain that da Silva was driving the Porsche.

Duburgas said that another person, identified as Pablo Pinto, claimed 'responsibility as if he were the driver.'
'We collected statements that indicate that the influencer was with the vehicle,' he said. 'Now, we collected another statement, and we are trying to find other information to conclude the investigation.'
Da Silva is known for sharing videos of his performing stunts on motorcycles on his Instagram.
His last post on the social media network was on Thursday night and featured a picture of himself riding a motorcycle and touching the surface with one hand while he kept his other hand on the clutch.

His wife, Julia Lama, addressed the incident with a pair of Instagram Story posts Sunday.
On one post, she made reference to the amount of people who were looking at posts on her account.
'We appreciate the affection we are receiving from our followers and we are seeing all strength you have give us,' the influencer's caption read in a second post. 'We are not allowed to talk yet, but soon you will have answers!'
Da Silva has been in involve with a series of traffic infractions in the past, including in 2022 when authorities discovered he was operating a motorcycle without a license after they found a video of him performing dangerous stunts on a highway in Teresópolis.
