The astonishing amount that Snoop Dogg is being paid to broadcast with NBC at the Olympics has been leaked in reports.

Snoop has been popping up everywhere at the Olympics - we've seen him in full equestrian kit at the dressage, receiving a swimming lesson from Michael Phelps, and acting as a rugby analyst among other pursuits.

The 'Gin & Juice' hitmaker has been supporting Team USA and has a deal with NBC to provide content and commentary throughout the Games.

NBC claims it had 35.4 million viewers on the middle Sunday - more than double that of the equivalent day during the Tokyo Olympics - with Snoop proving a hit with fans.

Now, two reports have given insight into his staggering earnings, which would be the envy of any sports star.

Henry McNamara, one of the world's most influential young entrepreneurs according to Forbes, claimed he heard from an NBC executive that Snoop is getting paid £393,000 ($500,000) every day - plus expenses, in case that was not enough.

Meanwhile, German outlet Bild reportedly heard from an NBC employee that he could earn up to £11.78million ($15m) across the Games, with a TV ratings bonus in his contract.

It is a huge leap of faith from NBC, who in 2014 secured a £4.5billion broadcasting deal through to 2032 with the International Olympic Committee.

That said, Snoop is not entirely new to the game. Three years ago in Tokyo, he and comedian Kevin Hart provided streaming-only commentary on Peacock.

His Olympic coverage generated 'tens of millions of views' for NBC in 2021, the network's executive producer and president for its Olympics Production, Molly Solomon, claimed.

'That performance alone has earned Snoop a job as our Special Correspondent in Paris. We don't know what the heck is going to happen every day, but we know he will add his unique perspective to our re-imagined Olympic primetime show,' Solomon said.

He has already been at the centre of plenty of viral moments.

The music icon had an eye-popping reaction to Simone Biles' women's gymnastics qualification performance.

One report claims he is earning almost £400,000 per day while Bild claims he could pocket up to £11.78million in total with bonuses

Underneath his American flag jacket, Snoop Dogg donned a T-shirt with gymnastics legend Simone Biles' face printed on it.

Snoop Dogg was in awe at Biles' performance and a hilarious picture captured him lifting up his sunglasses to reveal a wide-eyed look.

He also featured as one of the Olympic torch-bearers in a short run around the Stade de France.

But viewers watching Snoop - real name Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr - immediately thought of something else associated with the rapper as it burned at one end: a rippling cannabis joint.

It prompted a tidal wave of memes on social media as pranksters manipulated images to swap the torch for an oversized spliff, while a cartoonist even sketched Snoop taking a draw from the torch.

On Monday, he performed on-stage - including tracks like 'Drop it Like It's Hot' - in front of the USA's basketball teams and assorted celebrities in 'A Celebration of Olympic Basketball'.

Marking 50 years of Team USA basketball, the likes of LeBron James, Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, and Carmelo Anthony were there.
