A Pennsylvania school board member could be fired over a crude post about Kamala Harris.

Souderton official Bill Formica is facing calls to resign after writing the 'inappropriate' post on X last week.

The Republican board member was replying to a post by another X user which asked what is 'one thing this chick [Harris] has accomplished?'

To which Formica replied: 'She blew a lot of dudes'.

Harris has been subjected to attacks surrounding her previous relationship with a married but politician in the 1990s which have intensified since she became the Democrat nominee.

The backlash against Formica's Harris post was swift, with a petition calling for his removal racking up almost 1,500 signatures so far.

'As a teacher in the district I know how much emphasis we put on teaching our students that "Character Counts", that bullying in any form is not acceptable, and that inappropriate social media use has consequences,' educator Christine Jackson wrote in a comment.

'We teach the importance of building others up regardless of differences in opinions, race, gender, or political stance and that every student (male or female) can achieve something better for themselves through diligent work.

'Mr Formica's comment demonstrates that he has no understanding of these ideals and he should not be representing the district or be making decisions for the children living in this community.'

The controversy prompted the school board to issue a statement on the matter.

'Last week, one of our School Board members used inappropriate language and poor judgement in a comment posted on social media regarding Vice President Kamala Harris,' the statement said.

'The comments or actions of an individual board member, administrator or employee of the District do not represent the board as a whole, the administration or others in our employee groups.

Formica posted on X insinuating the Vice President had achieved her career by using her sexuality

'The Board has asked for some time to process this situation and that time is being afforded.

'Words matter. Respect matters. Our schools and offices must be spaces where diverse opinions are honored – but where respect is required.'

However the post is not the first time he has made inflammatory marks about politicians.

In one post about Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez  he wrote: 'Horse face is an imbecile'.

He also branded Michelle Obama 'a racist full of hate (and a dude).'

While in another reply Formica appeared to take aim at educators.

'Why does everyone still gush over teachers?' He wrote. 'They have a great gig.

'Can't be fired, only work nine months of the year, great pension and no accountability for their performance. There are many jobs that are much worse.'

Formica was appointed to the school board last summer from a list of Republican candidates.

'Students have a right to a balanced and unbiased education,' Formica said on his campaign website at the time.

'As a school, it is our duty to keep politics and employee viewpoints out of the classrooms and maintain a level of respect for all students and staff members.'

His appointment garnered some controversy at the time due to his use of Three Percenter antigovernmental militia insignia on his vehicles.

DailyMail.com has contacted Formica and the school board for comment.
