Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz's wife Gwen is a teacher like him.
The two met as young high school teachers working out of temporary classrooms in Nebraska.
Gwen could hear Tim's loud voice through her classroom wall and she was initially irked by it, according to the Star Tribune.
But a relationship blossomed nonetheless.
Soon after they met, Gwen and Tim established a summer trip to China for their students.

They took students overseas nearly every summer through 2003, according to the Minnesota first lady's office.
The couple were married in 1997.
Gwen struggled with infertility and was a patient at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota before giving birth to the couple's eldest daughter Hope in January 2001.
The first lady of Minnesota used IVF to conceive, something she might bring up on the campaign trail with some conservative-leaning courts trying to curtail this kind of fertility treatment.
'Gwen and I have two beautiful children because of reproductive health care like IVF. This issue is deeply personal to our family and so many others,' the governor wrote in February after the Alabama ruling that said frozen embryos are children.
Hope is a recent college graduate and a vegetarian, which she discussed in a recent video that went viral of her father trying to entice her to try a turkey leg at the Minnesota State Fair.
The couple also have a son named Gus, who's a current high school student.
Gus was behind the Walzes decision to rescue their dog, a lab-mix named Scout.

They also have a rescued cat named Honey who they adopted after their cat Afton wandered off after they moved to Eastcliff, typically the home of the president of the University of Minnesota, but is serving as a temporary residence for the governor while the governor's mansion undergoes renovations.
Gwen is a Minnesota native and grew up in the western part of the state alongside three sisters.
As first lady she's been a champion for education - including for the incarcerated.
She's politically liberal like her husband and backs criminal justice reform initiatives and is an ally to the LGBTQ community, she says her in bio as Minnesota's first lady.
