Polish Olympic sprinter Ewa Swoboda has challenged IShowSpeed to a race after the Youtuber claimed that 'nobody in the world' could beat him.
The 27-year-old saw her individual Olympic hopes ended at the semi-final stage of the women's 100m when her time of 11.08seconds was only enough for fourth place finish.
Swoboda is a two-time European Championship medallist, while she claimed silver in the 60m at the world indoor championships in Glasgow earlier this year. Outdoors, she has a PB over 100m of 10.94seconds.
Nonetheless, Speed, whose real name is Darren Watkins Jr., proudly stated to his large audience on a recent livestream that he would have no problems beating her in a race. After initially joking that he would rather get Swoboda’s number, he insisted that 'nobody in the world' could beat him.
'I’m being dead-a**,' he said. 'At no point in life have I ever lost a race. That’s why people call me Speed.'

IShowSpeed had earlier insisted that 'nobody in the world' could beat him during a livestream where he watched footage of the Polish sprinter
Hearing of the social media star's comments, Swoboda encouraged Speed to take her on in a race if he was to make the trip to the nation, though she admitted that the odds of it happening are low, given that Speed has only recently ended an extended trip in Europe.
'I called my mum and dad to brag that I just got a new tattoo,' she said. 'I got the Olympic rings and they told me "oh my god Ewa, did you see that some Youtuber just challenge you?"
'Well, if he comes to Poland and he competes in the RMF FM radio contest maybe I'll run with him. But he has already been to Poland so the chances are slim.'
The event in question takes place later this month on August 24 but Speed is yet to respond to her challenge.
Swoboda's comments come swiftly after the American was banned from Youtube for for allegedly violating Community Guidelines on a livestream. Speed recently streamed himself jumping over two sports cars - a Lamborghini and a McLaren - that were speeding towards him to his more than 27million subscribers.
