A whistleblower watchdog has demanded an investigation into government surveillance after ex-Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard was labeled a 'domestic terrorist' and put on a watchlist.
Empower Oversight said the U.S. Federal Marshals Service was 'was improperly targeting individuals for enhanced surveillance' on flights and named victims including the former presidential candidate.
Meanwhile on Wednesday morning Trump said the Democrat ticket would 'want this country to go communist immediately.'
His comments come with Harris not having done an interview and avoiding questions on the campaign trail in the two weeks since she Joe Biden dropped out.

Tulsi Gabbard reportedly under surveillance by air marshals
Tulsi Gabbard, former congresswoman and Democrat presidential candidate, has reportedly been placed under surveillance at airports and on planes.
Whistleblowers told the Air Marshal National Council that Gabbard's name appears on the Quiet Skies program.
Under the program federal air marshals follow U.S. citizens who pose an 'elevated risk to aviation security' through airports and on flights.
As a result, there's at least five agents stalking her on every flight she takes.

Harris snaps at protesters in rowdy Detroit rally
The crowd got wild at the biggest rally thus far of Kamala Harris' campaign and the Democratic nominee snapped when it got out of hand.
In Detroit on Wednesday night, the raucous gathering sang along to Beyonce and screamed to 'lock up' Donald Trump while the speakers dropped obscenities and f-bombs as they spoke in Harris' favor, only pausing to direct medics after multiple people fainted in the heat.
There were 15,000 people spilling out of a hanger at the Detroit airport, the biggest crowd yet of Harris' presidential campaign.
And when a group of Gaza protesters started yelling at her, Harris snapped.
'If you want Donald Trump to win then say that. Otherwise I am speaking,' she told them as her supporters cheered her on.

Harris steals move from Tump's playbook
By Emily Goodin, senior White House correspondent
Kamala Harris stole a move out of Donald Trump's playbook on Wednesday night and pulled up to her campaign rally in her Air Force plane.
Harris, with her running mate Tim Walz, arrived in Detroit on Air Force Two, landing as Beyoncé’s ‘Run the World’ played.
‘Who run the world? Girls,' blared on the loudspeakers as the plane came down the tarmac.
Harris disembarked to Beyonce's 'Freedom,' which has become her signature campaign song. She and Walz are on a battleground state tour, speaking to Michigan voters at an airport hanger.
Trump, during the 2020 election, repeatedly used Air Force One as a backdrop for his campaign speeches. He held his rallies at an airport, delighting the crowd when the blue-and-white plane pulled right up to the hanger, allowing the then-president to make a dramatic entrance.

Hunter was hired by a Romanian oligarch to influence the U.S. government, prosecutors say
Hunter Biden was hired by a Romanian oligarch in an 'attempt to influence U.S. government agencies,' earning around $1 million for work that was structured to avoid 'political ramifications' for Joe Biden, who was then vice president.
The bombshell claim was revealed in court filings on Wednesday tied to the younger Biden's federal tax case. And it marks the closest prosecutors have come to tying President Biden to his son's overseas business deals.
Gabriel Popoviciu, a real estate tycoon, was facing bribery and corruption charges in his home country. In an attempt to avoid the charges, Popoviciu hired Hunter Biden and his business associates in late 2015 to help his case.
Hunter, however, was 'concerned that lobbying work might cause political ramifications' for his father, so the deal was structured in a way that 'concealed the true nature of the work he was performing.'

Harris confronts crowd shouting 'lock him up' about Trump
Kamala Harris stunned her rally on Wednesday when she defended Donald Trump.
Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee, stopped an attendee who yelled 'lock him up' about Trump, her Republican rival, during the event in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
She had been giving her standard stump speech where she outlined her background as a prosecutor, arguing it meant she knew how to deal with men like Trump, when the supporter made the comment about the former president.
Harris jumped to Trump's defense.
'Hold on,' she said. 'You know what, the courts are going to handle that part of it. What we're going to do is beat him in November.'
Kamala Harris stunned her rally when she defended Donald Trump, after her running mate Tim Walz bragged about he can 'outshoot' anyone - a claim that comes less after Trump was shot at.

Trump and Harris neck-and-neck in Wisconsin
By Katelyn Caralle, Senior U.S. Political Reporter
Vice President Kamala Harris entering the race has advanced Democrats' chances of winning in November in some key swing states, polling taken in the last two weeks reveals.
With just 17 days under her belt as the presumed 2024 Democratic nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris has made-up some ground that President Joe Biden was slipping in Wisconsin.
Among registered voters, 50 percent say they would cast their ballot for former President Donald Trump if the election were held today, according to a new Marquette University Law School poll released on Wednesday.
Harris is only behind by one percent, which falls well within the survey's 4.6 percent margin of error.
But when all likely voters are considered, the results flip on their head giving Trump 49 percent against the vice president's 50 percent.

GOP Senate candidate Larry Hogan: 'I'm not weird'
The Republican Party has a woman problem. Ex-Maryland Republican Gov. Larry Hogan has a solution: don't be weird.
Vance's recent comments criticizing 'childish cat ladies' have earned him flak on both sides of the aisle. Hogan and others fear it may further alienate the critical voting block from the GOP.
It's earned him the descriptor of 'weird,' first coined by Gov. Tim Walz, the newly minted VP candidate who Hogan counts as a friend.
'I'm not weird,' Hogan, who embarked on an unabashedly centrist Senatecampaign, deadpanned in an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com. 'I'm not in favor of weird.'

Why Tim Walz was labeled 'Tampon Tim' by an infuriated Republican
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz has a new nickname now that he is soaking up the political spotlight.
The Democrat was announced as Vice President Kamala Harris's running mate this week and has been quickly absorbed by the campaign as a useful political asset.
Being a white military veteran from the Midwest broadens Harris's appeal to new segments of voters, but Republicans have been quick to highlight his progressive bona fides that earned him the spot on Harris's ticket.
'I've heard people calling him Tampon Tim, because why use a progressive individual that wanted to put tampons in boys locker rooms in the schools as governor?' Florida Republican Rep. Brian Mast said of Harris's VP pick's gender policies.
The name 'Tampon Tim' has since been used throughout conservative circles to describe the governor picked to pad Harris's presidential prospects.

Polling guru declares who wins if election was held today
Polling guru Frank Luntz revealed on Wednesday, as of today, Kamala Harris has the advantage over Donald Trump.
'Make no mistake, Trump's advantage with the Republican Convention after that ended is gone. It is wiped away. And if the election were held today, I actually believe that Harris would beat Trump. That's how much things have changed over the last two weeks,' he said in a Zoom briefing with No Labels.
Luntz also pointed out, with a little more than three months to go before the November 5th election, the contest 'is up for grabs.'
And he had advice for each contender on how to win.
'If this campaign is about inflation and immigration, Donald Trump wins. If it's about the attributes of the candidates, Kamala Harris wins,' he said.

The surprising reason liberal Governor Tim Walz became known as the 'Top Gun' Democrat
When Vice President Kamala Harris introduced Tim Walz as her running mate in Philadelphia, she shared some anecdotes about his life including one about his time in Congress.
'He was known as one of Capitol Hill's best marksmen, winning a bipartisan sharp-shooting contest year after year,' Harris said.
Democrats are not typically known for toting guns, but for the Minnesota governor who served in Congress for six terms, shooting gave him a way to reach across the aisle in Washington and enjoy time with GOP colleagues.
Walz was the Democratic co-chair of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus and became known as a 'Top Gun' Democrat for winning shooting competitions.

JD Vance and Kamala Harris arrive in Wisconsin, and Trump's running mate makes mischief by checking out Air Force Two
From Rob Crilly, Chief U.S. Political Correspondent in Eau Claire, Wisconsin
J.D. Vance and Trump Force Two landed in Wisconsin minutes after Kamala Harris arrived. We could see Air Force Two from the plane window as we taxied in.
When Vance emerged from his plane he set off with his Secret Service detail across the Tarmac for a closer look, leaving his press pack watching from afar.
As he got near we could see the vice president's motorcade circling around the plane and driving off.
He marched back to us with a smile on his face.
I just wanted to check out my future plane, but I also wanted to go say hello to the vice president and ask her why Kamala Harris refuses to answer questions from the media? And I also thought that the press gaggle following her might get a little lonely. I at least have enough respect for you all and for the American people you report to to, to come and talk to you and answer some questions. And so I thought her reporters might actually benefit from that as well. So had a little bit of fun. I don't think the vice president waved at me and she drove away,
Vance's serious point here is that Harris has not taken questions since becoming the likely Democratic nominee 17 days ago.

Kamala Harris campaign reveals it raised $36 MILLION after adding Walz to ticket
By Sarah Ewall-Wice, Senior U.S. Political Reporter
The Harris campaign announced on Wednesday that it had raised $36 million in the 24 hours after the vice president named Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate.
450,000 people made donations, and a third of contributors were first-time donors.
While not the biggest fundraising day of the campaign to date, it signaled a massive influx of cash as Democrats build momentum leading into the final stretch.
The largest 24-hour fundraising period was the $81 million Harris raised in the day after President Biden exited the race.
But the Walz bump was greater than the 24-hour fundraising period after Biden named Harris to the ticket in 2020, which was $26 million in a day.

During a rally in Michigan on Wednesday, the Republican VP contender said:

Republican who told voters not to be 'weak and gay' learns her fate in Missouri primary
A Missouri Republican who took the abrasive campaign strategy of telling her voters to not be 'weak and gay' and torched LGBTQ books has learned her political fate.
'In America, you can be anything you want, so don’t be weak and gay,' Gomez said while jogging in a bulletproof vest in a stunning campaign video. 'Stay f***ing hard.'
The candidate also stirred up drama after posting a video burning LGBTQ books she called 'indoctrinating and sexualizing.'
It turns out Gomez was seemingly not a strong enough candidate and lost her GOP primary Tuesday, only securing seven percent of the vote. She did not win a single county, sealing her embarrassing defeat after her loud-mouthed campaign antics.

Kamala Harris goes 17 days without answering a single media question
By Katelyn Caralle, Senior U.S. Political Reporter
Vice President Kamala Harris has still not sat down for an interview or held a press conference since launching her presidential campaign.
It's been 17 days since Harris entered the race.
Her lack of off-script moments since taking over for President Joe Biden has led to questions over how Harris will perform without a teleprompter or prepared remarks.
The vice president made herself much more accessible to media after Biden's disastrous debate as she went on MSNBC, CNN and ABC to push the 'bad night' narrative.
And despite the terrible news cycle for the current president, even Biden granted a sit-down interview witn ABC News just eight days after his debate with Trump – and after two other radio interviews earlier in the week.

He will be there through Monday for a combination official and campaign visit.

He will also hold events to promote Holocaust education and combat antisemitism. Why Larry Hogan is using AOC and MTG to boost his Senate campaign
Maryland's GOP Senate candidate Larry Hogan is out with a new $2 million ad set to hit airwaves on Wednesday that puts his centrist bonafides on display - without fear of angering the right wing of his party.
It highlights Hogan's support for abortion rights and his opposition to 'extreme Project 2025' - a Heritage Foundation policy plan that has become a favorite line of attack for Democrats and even Trump himself has denounced.

Squad member Cori Bush fumes after losing her reelection bid and vows retribution in unhinged speech
Progressive Squad member Cori Bush had an on-stage meltdown Tuesday after losing her reelection bid.
The progressive Democrat became the second Squad member to be taken down after a hotly-contested primary against a more moderate challenger who hammered Bush for supporting pro-Gaza protests.
Now, she is blaming her defeat on pro-Israel group AIPAC which put a whopping nearly $9 million to oust her, who she threatened to 'tear down.'
Her unhinged remarks came during a primary election watch party in St. Louis, Missouri, where she took a stage in front of supporters.
Pacing back and forth on the stage and speaking so loudly that the microphone shook, the former Black Lives Matter organizer condemned 'corporations' and AIPAC, charging them with orchestrating her ousting.
Defiantly, Bush told the crowd that now she is no longer bound to the decorum of Congress, and that now she had 'some of the strings [cut] off,' her opponents will 'see this other Cori, this other side.'

The six words that secured Tim Walz's new gig
By Katelyn Caralle, Senior U.S. Political Reporter
Gov. Tim Walz aced Kamala Harris' final test as he was able to secure his spot on the ticket with the vice president by vowing he doesn't have higher aspirations and is ready to take a supporting role.
The Minnesota progressive at 60-years-old is just one year older than Harris, but has already served six terms in the House of Representatives and is nearly halfway through his second gubernatorial term.
The answer that most likely secured Walz the job over Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro and Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly was insisting at the meeting:
I'm not angling for anything else.
A person involved in the vetting process told Politico that Walz told Harris:
I'm at the end of my career. This is not about me. This is about America's working families.
Kamala Harris' final test in the selection of her running mate included sit-downs with her top three contenders on Sunday to hear what approach they would take as vice president.

Why Democrats in Pennsylvania are relieved Kamala Harris picked Tim Walz instead of Josh Shapiro as her running mate
Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro is not heading to the White House any time soon, but many Democrats in his battleground state say they're actually relieved he was passed over as Kamala Harris' running mate.
After weeks of speculation, the vice president chose Minnesota Governor Tim Walz instead to join her on the Democratic presidential ticket. The move was met with praise from Democrats across the political spectrum but also brought allegations, largely from Republicans, that she bowed to pressure from the left not to pick Shapiro.
'I thought it was going to be Shapiro, but we need him to stay here in Pennsylvania. We need him here,' said Harris supporter Betty Blue from Philadelphia.
It was a common response from Democrats DailyMail.com spoke to after the big reveal.

Kirby calls new Hamas political head Sinwar a ‘terrorist’ with ‘blood on his hands’ and urges him to accept cease fire deal
White House national security spokesman John Kirby blasted new Hamas political chief Yahya Sinwar after he assumed his new post.
‘Man’s a terrorist. He has an awful lot of blood on his hands. This guy was the architect of the 7th of October attacks in Israel. And some of that blood on his hands is American blood. He has always been the chief decision maker,’ he said. ‘As the chief decision maker, he needs to decide now to take this deal, to get a cease fire in place, to get some of those hostages home.’
Kirby in a zoom briefing with reporters also commented on the status of U.S. personnel injured in the latest attack at Al Asad air base in western Iraq. He said some who were wounded had returned to duty, and some are getting additional medical care outside of the region. ‘Those that are still receiving medical care are in stable condition, which is good,’ he added.

Exclusive:J.D. Vance slams 'shameful' Tim Walz for 'abandoning' his Minnesota National Guard unit before they deployed to Iraq
By Rob Crilly, Chief Political Correspondent on Trump Force Two
Donald Trump's running mate Sen. J.D. Vance slammed Kamala Harris's V.P. pick on Wednesday amid reports that Gov. Tim Walz had skipped out on being deployed to Iraq with the Minnesota National Guard.
Vance, who served with the U.S. Marines in Iraq, said it was 'shameful' if Walz had retired in 2005 just as his battalion was preparing to go to war.
'I mean, your job as a senior enlisted guy in a unit is to keep your people safe. That's not a job you can switch out of on a moment's notice,' Vance told DailyMail.com during an exclusive interview aboard his campaign plane, nicknamed Trump Force Two.
'So if he abandoned his troops before they went to Iraq or wherever ... absolutely shameful.'

Trump pushes back on attack he doesn't get kitchen table issues because he 'sits at Mar-a-Lago'
By Katelyn Caralle, Senior U.S. Political Reporter
Donald Trump says he wasn't 'always sitting at Mar-a-Lago' after Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz attacked him for not understanding kitchen table issues.
The former president went on the defense to claim he and his policies are more popular with blue collar workers than Vice President Kamala Harris and her new progressive running mate.
Walz said at his first tandem rally with Harris as her running mate on Tuesday night:
Donald Trump's not fighting for you or your family. He never sat at that kitchen table like the one I grew up at, wondering how we were going to play the bills. He sat at his country club in Mar-a-Lago wondering how he could cut taxes for his rich friends.
Trump responded in a Fox & Friends interivew Wednesday morning:
I think it's just the opposite. I think if you see the vote, those people are all voting for me, the people that he is talking about with the kitchen table.
And I was not always sitting at Mar-a-Lago either. I was sitting at lots of other places and built an unbelievable businesses. One of the greatest businesses.
You know, I could have a very simple life and a very good life and continue to do what I love. I love business and I love creating jobs. And that's what we are doing. We'll be creating jobs at a level that you have never seen before.
Trump then said that Biden-Harris inflation is 'killing' the same people that Walz is talking about.

Trump claims press wants to turn Kamala Harris into a media darling
Donald Trump thinks the media is trying to make Kamala Harris into the liberal-version of conservative British icon and late Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.
The former president told Fox & Friends that Democrats didn't want to put up Harris on their ticket, but claimed they didn't have a choice and had to run with what they had.
Trump told the three-host couch on Wednesday morning:
She is incompetent. And after they studied it a little bit they realized it's not going to be so easy to do so they say ‘well, look, the press is going to do whatever we want.’
The media, outside of you people, of course, but the media is so – they are drying to build her up to the next Margaret Thatcher, liberal version. And I don't believe it's going to happen.

Trump insists he will debate Kamala Harris and reveals what network he hopes will host
By Katelyn Caralle, Senior U.S. Political Reporter
Donald Trump said he is preparing to debate Vice President Kamala Harris and slammed the Democratic candidate for refusing to do an interview since launching her campaign.
Speaking with Fox & Friends on Wednesday morning, Trump said:
I hear she hasn't taken one interview. She would never do an interview like this, that I can guarantee – with any network. She doesn't do interviews because she can’t answer questions.
I don’t know how she debates, I hear she’s sort of a nasty person, but not a good debater. But we’ll see because we’ll be debating her, I guess, in the pretty near future. It's going to be announced fairly soon. But we’ll be debating her. I’d like to see it on Fox, by the way.
Trump phoned into Fox News the day after Harris announced her running mate as Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.

Trump says Tim Walz is 'more radical than Bernie Sanders'
Donald Trump Tells Fox News:
You know, nobody knew how radical left she (Kamala Harris) was. But, he is a smarter version of her, if you want to know the truth. Is he probably about the same as Bernie Sanders. He is probably more so than Bernie Sanders, she is more so than Bernie Sanders. That's got to be your guy, Bernie Sanders. That's not a great guide.
There has never been a ticket like this. This is a ticket that would want this country to go communist immediately, if not sooner. We want no security. We want no anything. He is very heavy into transgender. Anything transgender he thinks is great. And he is not where the country is on anything.
This is a shocking, let me tell you, this is a shocking pick. I think it's very insulting to Jewish people, and I think it's very insulting to people that want security. I think it's very insulting to anything having to do with making America great again.
Donald Trump appears elated that Vice President Kamala Harris picked progressive Tim Walz as her running mate rather than those he sees as more formidable candidates.
