It's been 17 days since President Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential race and Vice President Kamala Harris has yet to sit down for an interview.

In that time period Biden endorsed Harris, Democrats coalesced around the VP and she became the Democratic nominee through a virtual vote ahead of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago later this month.

On Tuesday she unveiled her running mate: Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.

All the while, former President Donald Trump's No.2, Sen. J.D. Vance has been trolling Harris for not talking to the press.

He did so again Wednesday when his plane, Trump Force Two, rolled onto the tarmac where Harris' jet, Air Force Two, was parked.

'I just wanted to check out my future plane, but I also wanted to go say hello to the vice president and ask her why Kamala Harris refuses - why does she refuse to answer questions from the media?' Vance said.

'And I also thought that the press gaggle following her might get a little lonely,' Vance continued. 'I, at least, have enough respect for you all and for the American people you report to, to come and talk to you and answer some questions.'

Vance has been traveling with a pack of reporters this week, including Dailymail.com, and has been answering questions consistenly.

Harris has also spoken with reporters who she's been traveling with, but has only answered questions here and there.

On Tuesday, she shouted to journalists that Walz will be 'a great vice president' as she boarded Air Force Two to Philadelphia, where she and the Minnesota governor made their official debut.

President Joe Biden arrives back at the White House from Wilmington, Delaware on Monday. Biden participated in several high-stakes interviews after fumbling the presidential debate in Atlanta in June. He sat for an interview Wednesday with CBS Sunday Morning

On the plane she spoke to reporters off-the-record for several minutes, the pool reporter indicated.

She hasn't, however, done a traditional sit-down interview with a broadcast network, like Biden did when his campaign was in turmoil.

Biden first sat down with ABC's George Stephanopoulos in the aftermath of his disastrous June 27 presidential debate in Atlanta.

He did a second interview with NBC's Lester Holt.

The president booked an interview with CBS' Robert Costa to air this weekend on CBS Sunday Morning.

It will be Biden's first interview since dropping out of the 2024 race, though he's taken questions from journalists since making the decision.

It's unclear when Harris might make a similar move.
