Joe Biden has predicted that Donald Trump will refuse a peaceful transfer of power if the 2024 race doesn't go in his favor.
Biden sat down with CBS' Robert Costa for his first interview since dramatically dropping out of the presidential race on July 21.
The first clip that was released featured Biden's now-trademark mumbles.
'If Trump wins - no I'm not confident at all - I mean if Trump loses I'm not confident at all,' the 81-year-old president replied when asked by Costa if he was confident there would be a peaceful transfer of power.
When Trump lost the 2020 election to Biden he encouraged his supporters to march on the Capitol Building where the Democrat's win was being certified on January 6, 2021.
President Joe Biden (pictured) predicted Wednesday that former President Donald Trump will be a sore loser if the 2024 race doesn't go in his favor during an interview with CBS' Robert Costa
NOT AGAIN: When former President Donald Trump lost the 2020 election he lied to his supporters and said that he won - and encouraged them to march on the Capitol Building on January 6
Those supporters were involved in a brutal attack of the U.S. Capitol that afternoon, leaving five people dead.
Trump had lied and said widespread fraud cost him a second term.
'He means what he says, we don't take him seriously,' Biden continued. 'He means it -all the stuff about, if we lose there'll be a bloodbath.'
Trump's controversial 'bloodbath' comment was made in the context of him talking about the damage he claims Biden has done to the U.S. auto industry by pushing for the manufacture of electric cars.
Talking to a rally crowd in Dayton, Ohio earlier this year, Trump said if he isn't elected 'it's going to be a bloodbath for the country.'
Biden also pointed to some of the maneuvering being done by pro-MAGA officials at a local level ahead of the November general election.
'Look at what they're trying to do now in the local election districts where people count the votes. They're putting people in place in states that theyr'e going to count the votes right?' Biden said sarcastically.
'You can't love your country only when you win,' the president offered.
The remainder of Biden's sit-down with Costa will air on CBS Sunday Morning.
That's the same program where Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi sat down for an interview with Lesley Stahl the week before and tried to play coy when asked if she was the individual responsible for pushing Biden to step down.
Biden's interview with Costa also comes as Vice President Kamala Harris, now the Democratic nominee, is facing more pressure to do inteviews.
She has been sporadically answering reporters' questions during her travels but hasn't sat down for an official interview since Biden's exit from the 2024 race.
