One of the most recognizable couples in sports, Megan Rapinoe and Sue Bird were spotted courtside for Team France's win over Germany in the men's basketball semifinal on Thursday.

With a whopping six gold medals between them, Rapinoe and Bird have been seen throughout the ongoing Paris Games, including appearances at US Soccer matches.

Although their exact rooting interest in Thursday's game is unclear, the two Americans appeared to be enjoying themselves thoroughly. At one point Bird, the retired WNBA legend, and Rapinoe, the two-time World Cup-winning soccer star, took a few selfies while sharing some laughs at Bercy Arena.

The 2024 Paris Games are the first Summer Olympics to be held without Bird, 43, or the 39-year-old Rapinoe since 2000 Athens Games.

Rapinoe described the Olympics to People.com as the trip of a lifetime.

'I'm living my best life,' she said. 'No life has ever been lived better in this short span. I'm just walking around during the day and taking in the Parisian sights and then going to all these amazing events.'

Bird couldn't agree more.

'It's great,' she told People. 'You really do get to see so much more.

'When you're at the Olympics as an athlete, you're totally dependent on the schedule, the practice schedule, your game schedule. Do you need to rest that day? Do you want to stay off your feet? So it doesn't always work out to see a ton of things.'

Things are dramatically different this time around.

'It's obviously fun if I'm competing and winning and doing all the things, but this is an incredible experience and Paris is just one of the best cities in the world for a reason so I'm really enjoying just taking it all in,' Rapinoe said.

The best part? Possibly the beach volleyball events under the Eiffel Tower, which Bird described as 'such a vibe.'

'Overall, all of the venues at the Paris Olympics have done such a good job of really incorporating the culture and the feel of Paris,' she added.

Bird and Rapinoe were hardly the only big names in attendance.

San Antonio head coach Gregg Popovich was on hand to check out his center, France's Victor Wembanyama. Another long-time Spurs star, France's Tony Parker, was seated alongside German NBA legend Dirk Nowitzki.

Furthermore, Yannick Noah, the retired French tennis star and father of former NBA center Joakim, was spotted in the crowd as well.
