However, he truly became a household name as Steve Rogers/ Captain American in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
He kicked off his time as the superhero in 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger, and last appeared as the character in 2019's Avengers: Endgame.
Chris spoke about his interest in reprising the character during a 2022 interview with MTV News.
'Johnny Storm, I feel like he didn’t really get his day,' he said. 'That was before Marvel really found its footing. So, I loved that role and, you know, who knows?'
During his career, Chris dated the likes of Jessica Biel, Minka Kelly and Jenny Slate but preferred to keep his love life out of the limelight.
He married Portuguese actress Alba Baptista, 27, in September 2023 after two years of dating. The pair enjoyed an intimate ceremony held at a private estate in Cape Cod.
Jessica Alba (Sue Storm / Invisible Woman)

By February 2022, Ioan responded by filing for a restraining order, submitting 113 pages of unhinged texts and emails that had not previously been made public.
In his court filing, the actor claimed he told Evans that he wanted out of the marriage in August 2020 and that since then, she had harassed him.
By July that year, Ioan filed for sole custody of their daughters before he successfully obtained a three-year restraining order against Alice.
