Tyrese Haliburton hardly played for the USA men's basketball team at the Olympics, but the Pacers guard is evidently not too upset about it as he poked fun at his role after the gold medal game.

Following the USA's win over France, which Haliburton did not appear in, he posted a selfie with his gold medal - along with a hilarious caption.

'When you ain't do nun on the group project and still get an A,' he wrote on X.

As he touched upon, Haliburton didn't have much of an impact on the USA's success, as he appeared in just three of six games and totaled 26 minutes - the lowest figure on the team.

The two-time NBA All-Star also averaged only 2.7 points per game as most of his minutes came when the USA had a big lead.

Nonetheless, he's clearly thrilled to capture a gold medal and fans appreciated his humorous and self-aware post on Saturday.

'Bro got an all expenses paid trip to Paris to watch the Olympics and got a gold medal. W,' one said.

'Okay this was hilarious,' another fan added.

'just earned my damn respect even more, you gonna be on the 2028 team demon [don't worry],' a third said.

As that last post suggested, there's a good chance that 24-year-old Haliburton will be on the team (and player a larger role) at the forthcoming Olympics in Los Angeles.

While Haliburton has emerged as one of the NBA's best point guards, he took a backseat this tournament to more defensively-minded guards like Derrick White and Jrue Holiday.

The team also largely centered around its oldest players, as LeBron James (39), Stephen Curry (36) and Kevin Durant (35) all played pivotal roles.

Those aforementioned three names will likely all be out of the picture during the LA Olympics, and Haliburton's scoring punch and playmaking may then be more heavily relied upon.
