In a first-person piece for Business Insider, Victoria noted that she and her husband had traveled with their kids countless number of times.
Victoria Marie Lees is a mom and writer based in Pennsylvania
'Although family vacations should be a break from the stresses of life, some trips were more stressful than others.'
And while every trip can come with its own stresses, Victoria revealed her most hectic trip was when she and her husband took their kids to Disney World and lost her daughter.
She explained that it was chaotic because of the large crowd.
However, the one thing that saved them was their daughter had a colored balloon tied to her backpack, which helped Victoria find her.
The mom-of-five advised all parents to tie a balloon around their children's bags when they were heading into big crowds.
She added: 'Each day, I allowed our kids to choose a colorful balloon at the park gate. Then, I tied those balloons to their backpack straps.'
In addition to tying balloons around their backpacks, she also suggested other ways to keep your children safe.

Victoria suggested that you took photos of your little ones as they headed into the parks so that you could then show those snaps to characters and staff at Disney so they could help you find your children.
The mom-of-five said she always told her kids what to do when they got lost - adding that she advised them to look for a character.
'Organize a specific place to meet if you get separated: inside the Main Street Bakery, perhaps — but definitely not in front of Cinderella's Castle because there are too many people. For kids with phones, take a photo of the place to meet. The child can approach a character or security and ask how to get there,' she said.
Lastly, the mom suggested that you placed a GPS tracker device into your child's backpack.
