One of the stars of Dance Moms: A New Era has revealed a heartbreaking secret about the death of her son.
Chinese-American mom Min, whose eight-year-old daughter Mina is one of the child dancers on the Hulu series, confessed that she'd been hiding the death of her 13-year-old son Siyan from her parents, who live in China.
She shared the shocking secret after Mina opened up about Siyan's death during dance rehearsals.
The group were practicing a routine called 'The Medium,' which was themed around a psychic medium contacting an 'angel spirit' in the afterlife, when coach Glo Hampton asked the girls if they'd ever lost anyone close to them.
At that moment, Mina confessed that her older brother had been killed in a car accident.

Mina burst into tears as her fellow dancers surrounded her in a group hug, all while her emotional mom watched from the waiting room.
Speaking to producers later on, Min confirmed that Siyan had died on January 17, 2021.
'My parents don't know my son passed away,' she admitted through tears.
'They're in China. When I call them they always ask, "How is my son?" I say, "He's okay." I don't want them to know that,' she sobbed.
The other moms rallied around Min, with Leslie saying, 'I could just see the pain all over her face.'
She added, 'I can't think of anything more horrific, more of a nightmare than losing your kid.'
Later in the episode, Min broke down again as her daughter's dance group prepared to take the stage.
'Mina, I appreciate that you can dance - this group dance - to help mommy say how much we love Siyan,' she cried.
'I've tried not to think about him. When I think about him I cry. I cannot control myself. My eyes feel pain,' she cried

'Siyan died two years ago and this time is your time to dance for him.'
Breaking down again, Min told producers, 'I've tried not to think about him. When I think about him I cry. I cannot control myself. My eyes feel pain.'
She continued, 'A good dancer can put emotion in any dance. If Mina can express in the dance maybe my son can see how much we love him.'
Dance Moms: A New Era is the official reboot of Lifetime's Dance Moms, which went off the air in 2019.
The reboot airs on Hulu and features Glo Hampton filling the shoes of original coach Abby Lee Miller.
The pair were friends for many years, but Glo recently admitted that they're no longer speaking.
When asked if Abby had given her any advice about fronting the popular series, Glo told Page Six, 'I'm not sure she wanted to give me advice. She's not speaking to me at the moment.'
Glo continued, 'She did reach out and congratulate me and I thought she was supporting the whole thing. And then when I did reach out to try to get together – because we were in Florida at the same time – she just wasn't very receptive.
'So I'm not sure where we stand right now, but I think that she feels a type of way. And I understand, but it's a new show – it's not her show.'
