A professional cleaner has revealed how to 'effortlessly' transform a grubby oven and make it look brand new without scrubbing.
Simone, from Jetlag Remedy in New South Wales, put the Easy Off Heavy Duty Oven Spray and a $5 scraper to work to remove the thick brown coating of sludge from a glass oven door.
A now-viral TikTok left thousands of Aussies amazed by how easily she cut through layers of grime using the two products.
'I'm going to show you how I did a really quick, simple and effective oven clean with minimal effort. I bring a "work smarter not harder" vibe,' she said in the TikTok.
After spraying inside the appliance, she turned it on low heat for 45 minutes and closed the door, leaving the product to work through the grime.
She warned that the oven spray is 'vey toxic' and the fumes smell intense, so she prefers shutting the oven door because she's pregnant.
Then she scraped the layers off using the $5 glass scraper followed by a quick wipe with a damp cloth.
The oven looked sparkling clean and steak-free.
Simone, from Jetlag Remedy in New South Wales, shared how to clean a filthy oven with ease
The footage has since been viewed more than 277,000 times and many thanked Simone for sharing her expert advice.
While thousands were wowed by the result, those who have previously used the oven spray were concerned about the smell.
'It works so well, but the fumes are foul,' one woman said.
'I hate that oven cleaner, after I used it and cleaned my oven I went to cook something and the fumes were so bad they burned my eyes,' another woman agreed.
'You need to burn off the oven before using it for food after any clean involving chemicals,' a third said.
She used two products - the Easy Off Heavy Duty Oven Spray and a $5 glass scraper from Bunnings (before and after pictured)
Others instead recommended purchasing the 'fume-free' version which contained less chemicals, or an alternative spray such as Selleys BBQ Tough Grease and Grime cleaner ($7.99) from Bunnings.
One woman had trouble believing that an oven could get that filthy in the first place.
'How does it even get to that stage?' she asked.
A home hacks guru also wowed Aussies with their one-ingredient trick for transforming a dirty oven.
The person behind Grandma's Tricks and Tips preheats their oven to 100C then places a dishwasher tablet into a baking tray or heat-proof dish.
They then pour boiling water over the tablet until it's submerged and place the tray inside the oven, closing the door afterwards.
The mix needs to bubble away for one hour to allow the tablet to properly dissolve, while the steam gently softens the grime.
After sixty minutes has passed, simply turn off the oven and open the door to let it cool, before wiping down the interior with a damp cloth or sponge - leaving you with a squeaky clean and fresh smelling oven.
People were amazed at the results and were keen to try the one-ingredient trick on their own filthy ovens.
'I use dishwashing tablets to soak my baking dishes, I'm amazed how they come up like new every time. I'm definitely going to try this in the oven,' one woman said.
