Showing considerably more fight than the White Sox have all season, Chicago baseball fans engaged in a vicious hair-pulling, sucker-punching brawl this weekend during an Interleague battle on the South Side.
Both visiting Cubs fans and White Sox supporters took part in the melee, but combatants weren't strictly divided by their rooting interests. As seen in video that has since gone viral on social media, the fracas began with two women wearing White Sox apparel.
One woman tossed a wild right at another only to be grabbed by her long brown hair. Men in both Cubs and White Sox gear tried to intervene, but things quickly devolved from there.
Whereas the fight began with two women, suddenly it was a group of men doing the punching.
Much of the violence could be blamed on two men: A taller fighter in a brightly colored shirt and his shorter opponent wearing a white tank top.

Interestingly, it was the shorter of the two who appeared to get the better of the other.
'Stop! It's over!' one peacemaker could be heard yelling 40 seconds into the one-minute clip.
Unfortunately, it was far from over.
One man wearing a White Sox replica jersey tried to reignite the brawl only to get thrown into a brick wall on the Guaranteed Rate Field main concourse.
It was at this point that a pair of security guards arrived and attempted to quell the tensions.
As internet commenters were quick to point out, the brutal scene played out in an unremarkable 3-1 Cubs victory over a White Sox team that has yet to reach 30 wins on the season.
And while the Cubs are easily better that their South Side rivals and just four games out of the final Wild Card spot, the North Siders are still under .500 and battling most of the National League for a postseason berth.

'Imagine getting this worked up about two teams with 87 wins combined,' wrote one fan on X.
'It ain't a crosstown series without drunk fans throwing hands,' a White Sox supporter added.
Some criticized the fighters' technique.
'lol,' began one post on X. 'Not a single punch correctly thrown. windmill arms.'
The dagger was delivered by a woman named Shannon Adcock: 'They all swing like the White Sox.'
After firing manager Pedro Grifol and replacing him with interim skipper Grady Sizemore, Chicago's South Siders dropped both games of their crosstown series with the Cubs. However, they bounced back on Monday for their best win of the season: A 12-2 victory over the New York Yankees.
Meanwhile, the Cubs fell 9-8 to the Cleveland Guardians as their Interleague stretch continues into late August.
