Chicago Sky star Chennedy Carter has slammed her ESPN ranking as the 24th-best WNBA player entering the second half of the league season.

ESPN only ranked the top 25 of the 144 in the WNBA, actually placing Carter into the top-20 percent of the league's players.

Yet, being recognized as second-to-last sent Carter into a social-media rant.

'How I average less minutes and my stats top in the league? But I am at the bottom,' Carter said. 'This isn't adding up. The hate be so obvious, F/G percentage as well.'

Carter is the second-highest ranked player on the Chicago Sky, behind rookie Angel Reese.

Carter is correct that she is having a stellar season with the extra spotlight brought to the WNBA this summer, averaging 17.2 points per game.

In large part, the heightened eyeballs on women's basketball have come because of Reese and old rival Caitlin Clark.

Clark was part of the four most-watched women's college basketball games of all-time over a year-long stretch while finishing her career at Iowa.

The now-Indiana Fever star has been a box-office draw wherever she has gone across the country since being the first-overall selection in April's WNBA Draft.

Clark has been targeted by players such as Carter in her short stint in the WNBA.

On June 1, Clark was body-checked by Carter, in a move dubbed by fans to not be in good faith with basketball.

Carter refused to answer any questions on the matter in a post-game press conference, but did double down online stating 'beside three point shooting what does she bring to the table man' on Threads.

On June 16, Reese committed a flagrant foul to Clark when the former LSU star missed a block attempt and swatted Clark in the head with her arm, sending her rival to the ground in pain.

Reese also bad-mouthed Clark and her team to the press, stating they had a 'special whistle'.

Carter also was not chosen to play in the WNBA All-Star Game against Team USA, while Clark and Reese were.

The Sky are one of the first WNBA teams to return to action on Thursday, as they host the Phoenix Mercury.

Chicago is currently in the final playoff position in the WNBA standings, three games ahead of the ninth-place Atlanta Dream.
