Stephen A. Smith has called out Vice President Kamala Harris for not holding a press conference or participating a one-on-one televised interview since she has led the Democratic ticket.
Harris has not done either measure since President Joe Bien announced last month he would not seek reelection and endorsed Harris to become the next President of the United States.
Harris is the presumptive Democratic nominee, as the party has unified behind her after Biden dropped out of the presidential race.
The lack of a press conference or taped interview from Harris has been lambasted from her political opponents.
Now Smith joins their ranks, hoping to hear from her, even though he admits Harris already has is November vote.
Smith has been critical of Vice President Kamala Harris for not being more accessible
Harris has not held a press conference or a sit-down interview since Joe Biden stepped aside
'We've had three weeks and one day since Joe Biden stepped aside,' Smith said. 'The only damn place we've seen Kamala Harris is at pep rallies. Somebody's got to say something.'
'And it can't just be the conservatives. Right is right,' Smith continued. 'I'm talking to my sister here, c'mon now. You’re running for the presidency of the United States of America. You got my vote. What are you hiding for? I mean hiding in plain sight.'
'Not one single press conference, not one single one-on-one sit down interview where somebody gets to question you. ... That's not fair,' Smith added.
Smith concluded that critics of Harris clamoring to hear more from her in an unfiltered manner are perfectly within their right to complain.
The ESPN analyst did draw a line with anyone who has used Harris' race or heritage as a way to blast her.
Smith suggested asking about her record, especially since she is attached to Biden's record and has been touting it on the campaign trail.
