Son left with mold poisoning after blue cheese spilled in family's car

A TikTok creator has come down with mold poisoning after spilling blue cheese in his parent's car, which spread throughout their vehicle overnight.

Liam Metin (@liam.metin) posted a video, explaining how after he unknowingly spilled blue cheese crumbles in his parents' Kia, the vehicle's interior became infested with mold.

"I can't make this s--t up y'all. We spilled blue cheese in the car and now the car is covered in blue cheese... mold." 

Metin writes in the video's text overlay that he didn't realize they had spilled the blue cheese until the day after when it was too late.

In a follow up video, Metin revealed that he developed mold poisoning since the fungus overtook the family car

It's clear this isn't a localized issue as he shows how ecosystem of mold that has taken over his both the backseat and front seat of his vehicle.

'Everyone is saying that the car is totaled,' said Metin.

In a follow up video, Metin revealed that he has mold poisoning.

'It's in my lungs, it's in my sinuses, I had to go to a doctor cause I was having some symptoms,' he said.

'Turns out my car is not the only thing infested with blue cheese.'

Metin had been deep cleaning his car with vinegar, baking soda, three different wet vacuums, a pressure washer, and Marvel mold cleaner. 

While he said he's managed to get rid of a majority of the visible mold, it has continued to grow back. He also said the inside of the car still has a 'funky' odor that won't go away.

He took out the car's floor mats to let then dry on an outdoor metal table in his backyard.

Metin's videos have garnered more than 17 million views.
