A couple has shared the horrifying story of how they were attacked by their Airbnb host with a double edged knife.
Laura Valm and her boyfriend Ryan had been staying at the rental property near Coral Harbour in Nassau, Bahamas last week.
The property, which averages around $168 a night, is described as being 'private and peaceful' but it was nothing like that for the couple, after the host attacked them.
Sharing two TikTok's, Valm described how they had booked the property after reading rave reviews but found their host, who they name as Jan, to be strange.
According to Valm, their host attempted to kill her and her boyfriend and injured a man who works for him with a large double edged blade.
Images captured by the two shows Jan being apprehended by police officers after they managed to escape and call for help with the weapon beside him.

Valm said: 'We get there, the hosts are fine, they are friendly they are nice. Mind you a bit quirky with some of the things they are saying.
'He told us the CIA was watching him, they own a mushroom farm so we're thinking maybe their dipping into their own supply.'
She explains how on their first day at the property, Jan frequently came down to the beach where they were relaxing to interrupt them, which she described as 'weird'.
Laura continued: '[He was] very weird, very quirky - our alarm bells were going off. But again we weren't feeling threatened.'
After Jan stopped bothering the couple, she says they got the impression his wife had told him to stop going near them.
Laura then explains: 'As we are walking back, we have to go through their back gate as our cottage as at the front.
'As we are going through, he comes out and is like 'Hey guys, do you want to come in?'.'
After agreeing, Laura says once inside Jan showed her boyfriend something online about the ongoing situation involving Israel and Iran.

According to Laura, her boyfriend told him: 'I don't think so, there is a lot of countries in between I don't think that'll happen.'
Laura continues: 'He just snapped, just snapped: he pushed my boyfriend, we think he punched him.
'He dropped a wine glass, [he] is losing his mind shouting and screaming 'get out of my house'.
Laura adds that as she attempts to clean up the wine glass so they can leave, one of the workers for the couple appears at the door to try and defuse the situation.
Despite this, Laura says Jan then pulled out a double edged sword and slices her boyfriend in the hand with it.
She continues: 'Ryan pushes out the door, we ran around the side of the house. We are running, Jan goes out the front door so he cuts us off - I booked it through to the road.

'My boyfriend is beside us, we then see the worker then spurting blood all over the place.'
Laura says after making it to the main road they managed to flag down two locals who called local police. They then took the worker to a nearby military base for attention.
