America's saddest pizza: Lackluster pie from Miami Airport goes viral for all the wrong reasons
A pizza purchased at Miami Airport has the internet in a furor over its pathetic appearance.
A snap of their dubious-looking pizza was shared by Reddit user TheIndustrialMachine, who claimed they bought the pathetic pie at the Maestro Della Pizza in the airport's Central Terminal.
In the picture, the pizza appears to be little more than a rectangle of lumpy, store-purchased dough with a translucent layer of red sauce over it.
On top of the pizza, there are two-and-a-half slices of sickly-colored mozzarella that fail to cover the entire surface and are plainly not melted.

The Reddit user captioned their picture: 'Worst looking and tasting pizza I've ever had.'
The picture of the pizza quickly went viral and the post has received almost 900 upvotes and 311 comments.
Many pizza-lovers were eager to pour scorn on the abysmal piece of food, which soon came to be perceived as a slight against pizzas everywhere.
'What an embarrassing, sad, awful, depressing, horrible insult to pizza,' one user wrote.
Another commented simply: 'That's the worst looking pizza that I ever saw.'
This righteous indignation was echoed in the remark of another user: 'Legally that cannot be labelled as pizza.'

'If that was more than $3.50, you got robbed,' someone remarked.
TheIndustrialMachine replied to this comment, revealing, to the horror of other users, that they paid $12.
'[The] box was closed, and I couldn't see before buying. I still ate it,' they wrote, before adding: 'Not many food options in G terminal at MIA.'
According to Miami New Times, the Central Terminal comprehends concourses E, E satellite, F, and G, where the user claimed that they were.
Dining options in the terminal are limited, with there being only four restaurants to choose from.

A Yelp user named Ben H. wrote a poison pen review of the restaurant's tragic pizza.
'Quite possibly the worst pizza ever,' he wrote. 'It was like pizza box cardboard with melted cheese on top. It makes Little Caesars look like 5 stars.'
'And for $12?' he continued. 'In retrospect I would not have eaten this pizza if they were giving it away.'
