After what many considered to be a successful Olympics for Team USA, Simone Biles has spoken out on the staggering television numbers for women's sports at the Olympics.
Biles put five pairs of eyeball emojis alongside a graphic highlighting the accomplishments of women's sports in Paris, with a heavy dose of Team USA.
The graphic shows over 66,000 fans were in attendance for the opening match of the women's rugby competition, setting a world record.
The USA women's basketball team's game against Japan drew 3million viewers on Peacock and USA combined, more than all of the basketball games at the Tokyo Olympics aside from the gold medal games.
The Olympic final in women's soccer between Team USA and Brazil averaged 9million viewers, the most-watched Olympic soccer match in NBC history.
Biles posted to Instagram about the staggering television numbers for women's sports
Biles was one of the biggest stars at the Olympics, winning three gold and one silver medal
To cap off the graphic, the live broadcast of the women's team gymnastics final, where Biles led Team USA to a gold medal, drew 12.7million viewers on NBC and Peacock.
That figure is more than the first round of the NFL Draft and every NBA Finals game from last year.
At 27, Biles was the oldest member of the American gymnastics squad, and left Paris with four medals, three gold and one silver. She also solidified her status as one of the greatest American athletes of this generation.
Consistent success has led to more viewers, as the American women's soccer team did not lose a match in Paris and won their first Olympic gold medal since 2012. Team USA on the male side was eliminated in quarterfinals by Morocco.
Both United States basketball teams won gold medals, and Team USA's rugby sevens women's squad won their first-ever bronze medal.
Biles has not declared whether Paris was the end of her Olympic career, or whether she'll stay fit enough to try to qualify for Team USA at 31, when the extravaganza is in Los Angeles in 2028.
