US comedian Eric Andre has accused Australian border officials of 'racial prejudice against people of colour' after he was stopped and searched at Melbourne Airport.
André, 41, unleashed a tirade on social media after he was pulled aside for a random sniffer dog search when he touched down in Melbourne on Monday.
The Florida born entertainer claimed he was stopped by staff in terminal two following 25-hour flights from New York via Los Angeles.
'I got pulled out of a lineup and put in a special line in Melbourne where I was sniffed thoroughly by a dog,' he explained in an Instagram post.
'It's one of the many times I've been racially profiled at the airport.
'So this is a message for all black, brown and Indigenous people travelling through Melbourne today, especially if you're travelling Qantas International by terminal two, please be careful.
'They are searching black, brown and indigenous people.'
The Eric Andre Show host vowed to never return to Melbourne Airport alone again and requested anyone who books him in the city to also provide a police escort.
Eric André said he no longer felt safe at Melbourne Airport after an unpleasant encounter with customs officials on Monday

André asked his followers to send him the Melbourne Airport complaints line and the contact details for any Australian discrimination lawyers in response to the incident.
André flew from New York to Brisbane via Los Angeles before making the final leg of his trip to Melbourne.
He claims it was the only airport where he was pulled aside by customs officials.
'Shame on the people at the Melbourne Airport that have this cockamamie procedure,' he said.
'I do not want to be humiliated or racially discriminated ... [and] I don't want to cut my hair and wear a three-piece suit so that I'm treated like a first class citizen.
'[It] is unethical .... it has nothing to do with safety, it has everything to do with racial harassment... I doubt it yields a safer world for anybody in Melbourne or Australia.
'I do not feel safe in the Melbourne airport.'
US comedian and actor Eric André, 41, claimed that he was targeted because of his race at the Melbourne Airport after customs officers pulled him aside for a random sniffer dog search
The comedian likened the procedure to a 'Giuliani stop-and-frisk' in reference to former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani's controversial method of reducing crime.
Stop-and-frisks allowed police to temporarily detain, question, and at times search anyone who they thought might pose a danger to the public.
The initiative targeted an overwhelming amount of people of colour, with 90 per cent of those frisked in 2017 being African American or Latino men.
André also questioned the efficiency of sniffer dogs and referenced a UNSW study which branded the practice 'an ineffective strategy' on his story.
The study found that 'not only is the use of drug detection dogs ineffective, it may in fact increase the risk of drug-related harm'.
'I shouldn't be made to feel that I am unaccepted when I am entering a country, I'd love to dig up the statistics on what is coming out of that program,' André said.
The comedian had just landed in Melbourne after a 25 hour flight from New York when he was pulled aside and 'thoroughly sniffed' by a dog
The online tirade prompted a response from Melbourne Airport, which revealed in the comments that it would follow up on André's complaints.
A spokesperson told 7News that the airport doesn't tolerate racism of any kind.
'Melbourne Airport is proudly the gateway to one of the most multicultural cities in the world,' they said.
'We welcome all passengers to Melbourne and we expect everyone to be treated equally.'
Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Melbourne Airport, Australian Federal Police and Eric André for comment.
