The incident comes just weeks after rumors started spreading about former American Pickers star Frank Fritz's alleged death.
A website, titled 'In Memory Of Frank Fritz: A Journey Through His Life And Legacy,' appeared online, leaving confused fans offering their condolences on Frank's official Instagram.
However, a friend close to the star confirmed that he was very much alive, stating on his Facebook fan page: 'Last night he was gobbling down a fudge ice cream so again he is not dead.
'The rumors are still out there but we have been dealing with this a lot over the last two years. These rumors seem to be a little stronger than most in the past.'
The friend also revealed that they would announce Frank's death on the social media platform if he was to pass.
'If Frank was to die as his friends, we would like to have a little time to inform all his very best friends which is a lot,' they continued.
'And then you will read it on this page also from our local newspaper called Quad City Times.
'I assure the time between his death and my announcement will be brief.
'It is important to me that his close friends come first than his beloved fans and our local people that have supported him from day one.'

Danielle has become a beloved name over the past 15 years thanks to American Pickers, but the star has also been entertaining fans in a much sexier way outside of the show.
As well as being a TV personality, an entrepreneur, and a collector, the TV personality is also a burlesque star who goes by the name of Dannie Diesel.
Danielle has even founded her own troupe called Burlesque Le Moustache, based out of Iowa long before she found fame on the small screen.
Indeed the mother-of-two is no stranger to posting sultry snaps of herself online and loves to model her burlesque attire, including nipple tassels, elaborate headwear and cut-out lingerie.
For certain shots, which are often taken by her photographer husband Jeremy Scheuch, Danielle likes to strip off completely and is fan of posing with feather boas and other accessories.
