Clueless actor Alicia Silverstone has shocked fans with her toxic choice of snack — filming herself carelessly biting into a poisonous berry that can cause fever and agonising stomach pain.
The 47-year-old Hollywood star posted a clip to her TikTok channel that showed her eating a small orange berry that she'd picked from a London garden, while asking fans 'what the heck' it was.
In response to the video which has gained 1.1million views on TikTok, fans warned the actor the plant is a 'toxic' Jerusalem Cherry and urged her to update them on how she was feeling.
Others joked she is 'clearly clueless' and questioned why she would eat 'random, unknown things from the street'.
But doctors say the all parts of the plant are poisonous, especially the unripe fruits which if eaten can cause fever, sweating, vomiting, stomach pain, headache and increased heart rate.

Dr Hana Patel, NHS GP warns the plant can be fatal if eaten and death has been reported.
She said: 'If plant or fruit is eaten, early symptoms can include fever, sweating, vomiting, stomach pain, headache and increased heart rate. Symptoms are delayed for several hours and can persist for days.'
She added that it can also cause allergic skin reactions.
Dr Duane Mellor, a dietitian and spokesperson for British Dietetic Association, said: 'Although the ripe Jerusalem cherry contains less of the poisonous component than the unripe fruits and leaves it is still toxic.
'As such it should not be eaten as can commonly cause gastrointestinal effects including pain, nausea and diarrhoea as well as potentially delirium, fever and vision changes. '
He added: 'It is important that people only eat fruits that they are familiar with or they are sure are safe to eat.'
