Kamala Harris' stepdaughter Ella Emhoff has been brutally roasted for the outfit she wore to the first night of the Democratic National Convention - while other critics have called her dad 'weird' and 'creepy' for the way he showed affection.
The budding model, 25, who has been making waves in the fashion world recently, was spotted supporting her stepmom at the event on Monday evening alongside 'first gentleman' dad Doug Emhoff, 59.
But some were quick to criticize the simple white ensemble Ella had chosen to wear to cheer on Kamala, 59, in Chicago's United Center.
One said it looked like Ella hadn't 'cleaned up for the event,' while another branded her outfit as 'trashy.'
Ella opted for a plain white T-shirt that she tucked into a pair of matching dress pants for her stepmother's big night out.

She completed the look with the viral Harris-Waltz camo cap and some clear-rimmed glasses, leaving her numerous tattoos on display.
But what had the internet divided was Doug's sign of affection towards Ella during the event.
Radio host and political activist Charlie Kirk, who is an outspoken Trump supporter, shared a snap that showed Ella and Doug standing together with his hand placed on her waist.
He captioned it sarcastically with, 'Totally not weird,' and it sparked a massive debate over the interaction.
Another called his embrace 'creepy' while another wrote: 'I've never seen a father do that.'
A slightly meaner response was simply: 'Freakshow.'
However, others jumped to the defense of Emhoff.
'It's weird to hug your daughter?' one person asked, while another replied, 'A father standing with his daughter is weird to you?'
Someone else shared a video of Trump placing his hand on his daughter Ivanka's hip from a previous event and wrote, 'Not at all.'
But it wasn't just this father-daughter moment that had people talking.
It didn't take long for X, formerly Twitter, to become flooded with nasty messages from Trump supporters about Ella's look.

Some Republicans were quick to slam her choice of clothing on social media
Others, however, praised Ella, calling her look 'cool as s**t' and 'dope'
'This is how Kamala Harris' stepdaughter Ella Emhoff dressed to see her stepmother during one of the most important moments of her career at the DNC. No class...,' one person wrote.
'The family is competing with Biden for the title of trashiest family to occupy the White House,' another negative post read.
The internet was also divided after Ella's dad Doug Emhoff was spotted placing his arm around her waist during the event
Someone else said, 'Showing up to a major function in a baseball cap and visible tattoos is a bad look.'
'Imagine how embarrassed you would be if your daughter or daughter-in-law showed up to the biggest event of your life looking like this asylum patient,' a different user scathed.
'There's a time and place to dress nicely and this was it. Regardless of who you are,' someone else wrote.
'Looks like she just stopped by from protesting outside or something. Trash. Zero class,' another post read.

'Ella Emhoff is a huge part of my personal style language. Thanks for being yourself,' one person gushed.
'Ella Emhoff is the people's princess,' someone else said, while a third defender wrote, 'Ella looks amazing tonight.'
'She looks cool as s**t, I don't know what to tell Republicans,' a different user agreed.
'Ella Emhoff is the palate cleanser we need. She's dope,' one post read.

Earlier this week, Ella made headlines after she pushed ketamine infusion therapy while revealing that she suffers from a debilitating spinal condition
In a post shared to her Instagram Stories, she said she was using the drug as a solution to her 'bad chronic back pain' that she said she has suffered from all her life.
'I was born with a tethered spine (iykyk) which caused my back to not properly lengthen when I was growing and caused a kyphosis (hunchback)' she wrote.
'Was in and out of doctors and PT for most of my adolescence. Got lower back surgery, grew a million inches, and now deal with chronic pain.'
She then shared a Google Sheet titled the 'Big Pain Management List,' which included a number of potential solutions including ketamine infusions.
Her promotion of the drug as a solution to her pain comes as the medical industry debates its effectiveness, with the issue thrust into the spotlight this week as five people, including two doctors, were arrested in connection with the overdose of Matthew Perry.

Ella skyrocketed into fashion fame practically overnight back in January 2021, after she wore a dazzling Miu Miu coat and a custom Batsheva dress to President Joe Biden's inauguration.
After catching the world's attention with the ensemble, Ella signed with modeling agency IMG, released her very own knitwear collection, and scored an invite to the Met Gala.
She also posed for well-known magazines like Vanity Fair and Vogue, and walked in shows for big brands like Balenciaga and Proenza Schouler.
On top of all that, she was was also named a style 'icon' at the 2022 Harper's Bazaar Icons & Bloomingdale's 150th Anniversary party. And according to Ella, she never expected to become a star.
She told People magazine at the time that she was 'shocked' but 'incredibly honored' to have been given the title, especially since she admitted she still didn't think of herself as a professional model.
'It's kind of shocking,' she said. 'This is an incredible honor and as someone who doesn't really think of herself like that it's nice reassurance.
'And it makes me check myself and the way I perceive myself... So exciting. I'm so grateful.
'For some reason, I feel like I'm seeing myself from the outside. It's a very interesting experience that I will never forget. I feel like every day it sinks in a little more. It's a slow process.'
According to the star, who has become known for wearing out-of-the-ordinary looks including funky patterns and bright colors, she never thought she'd come so far in the fashion industry because she was plagued with insecurities as a teen.
'Growing up, I never saw myself as someone stylish, at all,' she admitted to Elle. 'Obviously, I loved fashion and cared a lot about it.
'But I was really into doing my own thing and being really comfortable in my own body, you know? I never saw myself as a "fashion person." And I don't know if my classmates did either.'

Ella previously received backlash when she walked on Prabal Gurung's catwalk at New York Fashion Week in 2022, and bared her breasts for the entire audience to see.
She has also gained a lot of attention online for some of her other radical moves - including not covering up her tattoos or shaving her armpit hair, which is uncommon for models.
She was also scrutinized for her reaction to the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel.
On November 4, 2023, just weeks after Hamas's murderous invasion, Ella shared a fundraising link for the Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF) in the 'bio' of her Instagram account.
PCRF is a self-described humanitarian group that purports to provide relief to ordinary Gazans.
Rep. Jeff Van Drew, a member of the House Homeland Security Committee, was among those shocked by Ella's backing of the PCRF.
Ella deleted the fundraising appeal within days but then in March, she posted a link encouraging donations to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) – despite the fact that the Biden administration had dramatically cut off funding to the group nearly two months before.
