Shock update in case of Mica Miller after she committed suicide with cloud of suspicion around her pastor husband
In a shocking turn of events, Mica Miller's husband was named the personal representative of her estate, even as ardent followers of the case still don't trust the pastor.
John-Paul Miller, 44, will manage his late wife's estate thanks to a settlement with Mica's sister, Sierra Francis, ABC 15 reported.
Ever since he bizarrely revealed his wife's death to his own congregation at Solid Rock Church in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, John-Paul has been under a microscope, both for his actions preceding Mica's passing and after.
Mica, 30, was found dead with a gunshot wound in Lumber River State Park over the state border in North Carolina on April 27.

Francis herself has said she believes John-Paul began grooming her sister 'when she was 14 or 15.'
He vehemently denies these allegations, telling ABC 15 in late July that he never abused Mica in any way.
His lawyers have previously said the grooming allegations 'couldn't be farther from the truth,' citing Mica's first marriage that lasted until she got divorced at age 21.
Weeks before her death, Mica shared a video speaking generally about abuse within marriages as claims emerged she was being harassed and was 'afraid for her life.'
Francis, who reached the settlement allowing John-Paul to become the personal representative of Mica's estate, was once allegedly the target of his fiery temper.
Screenshots of text messages sent by John-Paul to Francis roughly 18 months before his and Mica's marriage broke down reveal the pastor's state of mind at the time.
He let her know that he was he was coming to her home 'armed' and 'ready,' DailyMail.com reported.
The messages were posted online by Francis, who contacted authorities after receiving them.

In one chilling message, Miller warned Sierra that he was 'armed' and 'ready' and insisting that Mica 'can fix all of this'
It is unclear what triggered the altercation, but messages show Miller alluding to 'one' particular 'bad' incident that occurred a month earlier
On a 911 call obtained by NewsNation, Sierra can be heard telling officers that Mica came to visit her because she was having 'issues' with her husband.
After the threats were made, John-Paul went on to try to bargain with Mica through Francis, begging his wife to come home and promising to take off the rest of the year, go to counseling and travel to Iceland.
He added: 'I also desperately want a child with you. I'm just scared of this. This is the only reason I wouldn't. I'm scared of divorce or putting the child through things like this where you leave and aren't willing to do whatever it takes.'
Mica, 30, filed for separation from John-Paul days before her death from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
She also filed in October 2023, citing adultery, but withdrew it in February 2024.

This evidence of Mica wanting to split up, plus John-Paul's cavalier attitude following her death - including going out on a date with a new woman four days after Mica's suicide - had Mica's family and dozens of dedicated protestors outside the Solid Rock Church questioning what happened to her.
After Mica's family spent months demanding a more robust investigation into her death, they ultimately reached a settlement with John-Paul at the end of July.
Both parties agreed to end litigation and not file any lawsuits against one another in the future.
This marked a unexpected reversal in the case, since the family was previously adamant that John-Paul was somehow involved with Mica's demise.
After surveillance footage was circulated in late May of Mica making a routine stop at a gas station mere hours before she was found dead, Mica's father wasn't convinced she was suicidal.

'I believe that it was all staged. I believe that the whole thing was premeditated,' Mica's father, Michael Francis, told NewsNation at the time.
When John-Paul was discovered to have been publicly wearing a necklace Mica wore the day of her death, Mica's sister Destinee Barrientos said he was wearing it as 'a trophy.'
John-Paul confirmed to NewsNation in June the necklace was in fact Mica's and that 'the hospital gave it to me when I saw her body,' adding, 'I immediately put it on, to feel close to her. She loved that necklace.'
In a July interview, he claimed he tried to raise Mica from the dead while she was in the morgue.
He also made the bizarre claim that his wife would have been 'in an incredibly euphoric attitude' when she killed herself, while dismissing speculation that he had any role in her death.
