Kamala Harris' running mate Tim Walz and President Bill Clinton headlined a star-studded night at the Democratic National Convention.
The crowd chanted 'lock him up' in reference to Donald Trump after a video montage of January 6 was played on the big screens.
Walz took the stage for the final speech of the night with a speech full of sports metaphors and a folksy approach that enticed Harris during the vetting process.
The Minnesota Governor touted his military record, but steered clear of allegations of 'stolen valor' for lying about his rank.
It was his 17-year-old son Gus who warmed hearts and stole the show when he burst into tears when his father took the stage and said: 'That's my dad'.

The highly overrated Jewish Governor of the Great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Josh Shapiro, made a really bad and poorly delivered speech talking about freedom and fighting for Comrade Kamala Harris for President.
Yet she hates Israel and will do nothing but make its journey through the complexities of survival as difficult as possible, hoping in the end that it will fail. Judge only by her actions!
What I found so odd about this entire speech & all of the things I heard from the convention speakers is they're painting this very dark & ominous portrait of the presidency of Donald Trump, when Donald Trump's presidency delivered peace and prosperity
I grew up in a very poor family. I was raised by my grandmother who didn't graduate from high school and I am proud of the fact that she worked her tail off and worked to her grave to give me opportunities... and I was able to live the American dream
I have known Kamala Harris for decades. Personally, I know her a person of deep faith. Which is reflected in her community care and service. Officially, she is a leader of strength and wisdom and eloquence on policy. Most recently, demonstrated fighting for a woman's right to choose. Politically, she is a astute and strategic in winning difficult elections, quickly securing the nomination with dignity.
Let's not forget who assaulted democracy on January 6. He did. But let's not forget who saved democracy that day. We did.
I am so proud to be here supporting my friend. But the real reason I am here is that deep down, I truly believe that as a woman of color and as a single mother of three, it is incredibly important that I be appointed ambassador to Italy.
I love you Massachusetts. Everyone is always hating on us but they just don’t get it! Go Sox! Go Jayson Tatum! Ben Affleck, hang in there!”
Now, fast forward a month later, there's smiles on everyone's faces all across the commonwealth, and I think there is a, certainly an injection of new energy and enthusiasm in our party.
But also, just, you know, I've been with the delegation for the last couple days, and I see the energy, I see the enthusiasm, but I see something different as well. You look into the eyes of these delegates and these Democrats folks are acting with a businesslike approach to this.
We're here to celebrate. We're here to get energized up while folks are ready to go back to the states and get this thing done.
I've been involved in Virginia politics for 20 years. I've not seen this type of votes from Democrats in a long, long time, [probably not since] 2008 with President Obama. They are focused like no other.
But what I'm hearing from Democrats, because they want to win, we want to win because I don't want to see another four years of Donald Trump.
