'He's getting set to go in the fall. A good college. He's smart - smart guy. He was always a very good student, smart, he's a smart guy,' Trump said.
Trump previously confirmed Barron would be attending college in New York, but he is yet to announce which school.
Trump also gushed about the the traits he admires most in his other two sons, Donald Trump Jr., 46, and Eric Trump, 40.
'Don is a hunter, a great, great hunter and knows everything about that world and guns and all,' said Trump.
In fact, he said Donald Trump Jr. was the first person to give him a reality check about his attempted assassination, emphasizing how miraculous it was that his father was still alive.
'He was the first one that said, Dad boy, you got lucky. I didn't realize that 130 yards is very close, in that parlance. He said you got lucky. He said it's incredible,' he said.
Commenting on the shooter's capabilities, Trump said: 'He wasn't a bad shooter, supposedly. He was a very disturbed guy, but he wasn't a bad shooter.

Regarding Eric, Trump said 'he loves the business, loves real estate, also very much of a hunter.'
Von talked about his struggles with addiction and explained the dangers of cocaine to an otherwise sober Trump. He admitted to being a heavy cocaine user in the past but has since quit due to its negative effects.
He described cocaine as a powerful stimulant that can lead to feelings of euphoria but also intense anxiety and paranoia.
'Cocaine will turn you into a damn owl, homie. You'll be your own streetlamp,' said Von. 'It's a miserable feeling, but you do it anyway.'
Throughout the rest of the podcast, the two touched upon reforming healthcare, border security, Trump's friendship with Dana White, and why the Republican nominee refrains from drinking and smoking.
Von interviewed Bernie Sanders in the same week at Trump, which viewers said was a testament to his range and ability to remain impartial as a journalist.
