On the show, she teams up with best friend Lizzy Mathis to surprise parents with renovations of their homes.
As parents themselves, the duo utilize their own knowledge and experience to help others take their chaotic and cluttered homes and turn them into more beautiful and functional places to live.
Jessica said on Today that the process of helping others on the shows makes her very emotional.
She explained: 'All of our families, we cry at every reveal.'

She explained that she is still part of the company but this also is a new beginning for her as she said: 'And for me, this is just like a new phase.
'I feel like a rebirth into my next phase of life. I started a production company. Th first movie I produced, Trigger Warning, debuted on Netflix number one in so many countries. I was so excited.'
