A mesmerizing video showing dolphins playing in the ocean off the San Diego coast has captured the extraordinary heights they can leap out of the water.
The pod of bottlenose dolphins were caught on camera playing together, performing synchronized leaps out of the water through the waves.
The person who caught the moment, Captain Erica Sackrison from whale watching agency Gone Whale Watching, said: 'The greatest dolphin show in the world is the one that happens in the WILD!'

'It’s been a great summer for spotting acrobatic offshore Bottlenose Dolphins, and today Capt. Erica Sackrison managed to capture these beautiful animals doing what they do best.
'You could just see them jumping like, 20 feet in the air... almost feels like they were doing Olympic-style jumps, like they were just all trying to be like Simone Biles and just touch the sky and come down. It was awesome,' she told CBS 8 San Diego.
